Ok, COTHers, if anyone can find this, you can! (If you haven’t already). While my horse heals again, I’m back to being a tack gypsy and would like a saddle stand that will fit in the trunk of my car. Honestly, I’d love a box with a domed lid for it to sit on and then my helmet, spurs, gloves, etc could go in the box. I’ve tried searching but not to much avail. Any help?
Someone posted a picture awhile ago of one their husband made out of pvc pipe. I’ll see if I can find it.
I like this design better

Yeah, you could take your cat with you.
I made one out of the PVC piping (similar to stands for vehicles). The odd corners can be difficult to find, but I loff mine!! I use it for when I can’t be near a pull out saddle rack or even in the car

I have one of these (same design but I think different brand), as well as a PVC one a friend made for me. They both have their pros and cons-- the Stubbs one is nice if you’re going somewhere and don’t want your stuff sitting on wet ground; my PVC one is too tall for the backseat of my car, but it’s great for tacking up at the trailer.
I like the stubbs one, but $500!!! really??
A friend built one out of PVC. It is not on a pedestel like those pictured here - it has 4 legs that go down to a square base. Very stable, and built to fit in her SUV
I tried four times to spell that pedistle, giving up. too lazy to look it up, sorry!!
That has got to be a mistake…I think the item # is S 500, and they failed to list the price.
Is there a place in the US to get the Stubbs or one like it?
Penrose Woodworking
Give this guy a try, he makes some really nice things at reasonable prices. http://www.facebook.com/penrose.woodworking?hc_location=stream
I really like the Stubbs one. Why couldn’t I find that back when I was schlepping my tack back and forth from the boarding barn with no storage? It would have looked darn cute in the back of my MINI, and my JRT would have used it as a den.

I bought mine at a local tack shop; they had a few available but have since gone out of business. I don’t THINK they were imported, but I’ve been trying to Google them for domestic availability, but to no avail.
As I recall, I paid $40-50 for mine.
English Riding Supply is the importer for Stubbs. If they carry that item you should be able to get it all over. http://www.englishridingsupply.com/en/stubbs_england_website.htm
Thanks, guys! I knew you’d find something. I actually really love the Stubbs one, even if it does look silly. I sent them a fb message about getting one here. Will let you know what they say!

This link made me laugh – saddle is belted, kids aren’t. snerk
It was the “Kids are in the trunk while the saddle is strapped in” pic that got me laughing too.
