Saddle Suggestions for Simplicity and on Budget

I think there are a lot of nice older saddles that would work for you. I’d look at Albion, Passier, and KN. Last year I bought a Karl Niedersuss Symphonie for my now-5-year-old that I think fits your criteria. (It no longer fits him and I was just thinking of selling it on, if you’re interested.)

My other “baby saddle” is a 23-year-old Passier Grand Gilbert. It’s been SO useful and fit every horse I tried it on, until him. Saddles like that are priceless!

I lucked out and found a grand Gilbert. I had no idea what I was doing when I bought it, just knew Passier meant decent and it was a well priced private sale

Someday I would like a new custom saddle, but in the meantime this one really does fit just about anything. Old and serviceable, just like the horse and rider, lol.

Those are the two saddles I’ve thrown on her back borrowed from friends that have looked pretty close to something that would work for us- of course, one was an 18, which was too long for her back, and the other was a 16.5 which I would have never fit in.
