Salem Saddlery--Big Sale!!!

A lot of the pages say to check back that more clearance products are on the way. Then it says to also check back in April for a full line of spring products? I thought they were closing down and becoming a Beval’s?
Anyone know their return policy? The boots I ordered are too big.
No returns, the store is closing to become a Bevals. If they don’t fit, sell them on ebay!

I placed my order Thursday morning and got a confirmation email. I have not received any other emails from them saying the order was cancelled or shipped. Oh well, it wasn’t like I had to have the stuff I ordered such as $50.00 worth of Stud Muffins. Chances will just have to make due with peeps, luckily I found a pack of Xmas trees peeps my mother-in-law had squandered in the nursing home. I guess Alzheimer’s is good for something.

Thought tack was all 40% off?

Does this not include saddles?

The saddles weren’t 40% off… for instance:

Amerigo Saddle $3300.00 regular price (seems a little high, but ok)
Sale price: $2145
= 35 percent off

Still, not bad. Would rather have 40 percent though

They want 60 dollars to ship my saddle UPS Ground???

Well…according to the website…looks like I need to start shopping for a helmet!

I am however still getting the saddle pads, but pretty much everything else from my order was cancelled. Total bummer, but what can you do???

Straight from the Company! Since I didn’t get the Vega through Salem Saddlery I got this one instead

Darn, well I ordered paddock boots and just found out they only have chocolate in my size.

Yea!!! Amerigo!

I’m glad the website is back up. Looks like everything I ordered I didn’t get except for 2 show shirts and a bra. No fun :frowning:

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum (and to any bulletin boards actually). I found out about the sale on this site and placed my order early before they ran out of everything. I just received my package and my new GPA! Thanks for letting me know about the sale-I really appreciate it

It is Christmas!! I placed a second order on Sunday and ordered Grand Prix Suede half chaps, a Roma saddle pad, saddle soap and sponges. Got a shipping notification yesterday but was really worried I’d only get the soap and sponges and pay $10 to ship…well…the UPS man just came…and it’s a big box…what’s in it…let’s see…

My half chaps and saddle pad!!! yeah!!! guess they sold out of the soap and sponges, funny huh?

Hope everyone else gets something fun!

hm… every time i try to click on one of the title (like 20% off of blankets) it comes up emty. did i miss the sale?

I got my order today. That was really quick, considering it was shipped out yesterday. I am kind of bummed though. I ordered a Solocomb, Corkscrew D ring, and Heidi boots. The only item I got were the Heidi boots. The shipping was $10.00 for one item!!! They could have charged less though. :sigh:
I ended up calling Dover today to order a Solocomb because I really need it.

I ordered my stuff on Thursday (saddle pad, three fly masks, ichthammol, Sore No More, Fleeceworks half pad and Miracle Groom). Tuesday I received the saddle pad, ichthammol and Sore No More with a note apologizing that I may not receive my entire order and that my credit card would only be charged for what shipped. Bummer. :frowning: I really wanted that half pad. :frowning:

When the website came up yesterday, they show the half pad shipped and all other items pending - same thing today. But I’ve never gotten an email from them except for the initial one acknowledging my order. I guess I can hope that just maybe the other stuff will come too.

when I placed my order, it looked like everything was in stock – and I got an email very fast that it had shipped. no notice that not everything was coming. I’d ordered some linament, a stud kit, a magnetic stud dish, and stud suds. Well, my box came yesterday – just the dish and the stud suds.

Pretty useless since I have no studs…

and the shipping was more than the contents

They want 60 dollars to ship my saddle UPS Ground???
that’s what it costs to ship a saddle via ups ground w/ insurance. i shipped my dressage saddle to idaho to have it re-flocked and that’s what i paid.

FYI…I’ve shipped a LOT of saddles over the years (dressage and jumping), and have NEVER spent $60 via UPS Ground. NOw, if you take it to one of those pack and ship places, maybe, but not if you take it directly to the UPS hub. The last saddle I shipped was a $3200 County dressage saddle and I don’t think I spent over $35.

I was finally able to get on the site this morning to track my order, and it looks like ALL of my items did ship! I ordered a bridle, but, spurs, spur straps, pair of breeches, and a few small items…ordered on the 3rd I think. Package is supposed to be here today, so we’ll see!

It cost me $60 to ship UPS Ground from MI to Texas when I sold my dressage saddle. Although I bought a box from them and they packed it up, plus insurance, so it added up quick.

My package arrived this morning. Got two shirts and a bra after everything I ordered. At least they put in a note apologizing. It’s weird though, the Ariat shirt is a size smaller than the Beacon Hill shirt, and fits perfect, yet the Beacon Hill shirt barely buttons up. Off to ebay with it.

Look, one of my entire orders got cancelled too, so I’m hardly gloating here. But you are all acting like a bunch of cry babies. If you didn’t want the order shipped unless everything was in stock, or unless it exceeded a certain dollar threshold, then there was a VERY OBVIOUS COMMENTS BOX where you could have stated that for the store. If you want service, ask for it. Don’t whine because the store couldn’t read your mind.

Example: I ordered some Ariat boots that were available in either black or brown. I noted in the comments box that if they didn’t have brown, I would gladly take black as well. Voila, I have a pair of black paddock boots on my doorstep this morning instead of a cancelled order for brown paddock boots, and all I had to do was ask for it.

If you want amazing customer service and everything in stock, then call ahead and make sure that it’s in stock. If you can’t get through on the phone, then either take your chances or shop somewhere where they always pick up the phone (like Equus Now or VTO).
