Sandwich cases?

Carry on!

Mints?! Whats with the mints? Are we kissing boys out there!!! To cover up the bad breath from not having enough time to brush your teeth and not wanting the EMTs to pass out when they are saving your life out there!!! hmmmm…makes sense!

5,6 or 8 hours!??? I think I’m gonna faint!! Now there I can see the sandwiches! Candy bars=basic hunting food group. Carry on!

Vet wrap? whats wrong with using your $50 stock tie and pure gold pin!!! Nothings too good for MY pookie!!:cool: Or my friends with broken collar bones needing a shoulder/arm splint…Is there an approved hunt color vet wrap you’re supposed to use?!! I vote blaze orange…for the dramatic effect!!

Ah yes, baling twine = best tack repair stuff. Makes good reins!

Mints reduce hunger!! Really, for me if my tummy starts saying “send food down” a few mints buys some time til we are done.

That must be some sandwich case

If it were any bigger, you’d need to pony a pack horse just to carry it.

It’s not that big. It’s one of the ones that someone recommended here, standard traditional size. It’s all in the packing. For instance, vetwrap is a tube, you can stuff the baling twine and the hoofpick inside it. Granola bars on the bottom depending on which hunt I’m going out with (some stay out longer than others) then the binocs (depending on the territory, sometimes I don’t take them, they are the very small highpowered kind), and the firearm on the side of the binocs.
The couple you can wrap around other stuff, or I might wear it on my belt. The syrup is just in a little tiny squirt bottle, like a trial size mouthwash one, that’s only for emergencies, the huntsman carries a bigger one.
It just depends a lot of times on which hunt I am going out with and/or which territory we are hunting that day.

question!

Jmonster! I bow humbly to your learned experience and ask a question about the karo syrup. As just a field member; I’m not familiar with how it’s used for hounds and can only conjecture. Do share please. And sorry if I’m the only one who’s never heard of this or doesn’t understand how it’s used.

I’m gonna guess it might be used to revive a prostrate hound. Sugar & water for some quick energy or to make them thirsty so they’ll drink? Is it a Florida thing?
In Canada, would they use maple syrup?!!! :D:lol:
The equivalent of peach schnappes in our flasks?!!!
I’m also guessing Virginia hounds get beer…just guessing!!
Do tell!!!

Y’all are funny
sometimes we have a hound or two that might get a little heat stressed or get a little wobbly so we just give them a little hit off the “hound flask” and they are good to go.

Our huntsman carries a bigger bottle (I swear she has so much stuff SHE needs the pack horse, I don’t know how she does it) but sometimes I Just carry a little tiny one for just in case til she can get to me. It also helps with the other hunt I am with since often we are very spread out
