We are going to Saratoga for my first time when they were actually racing in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait

Oh, how wonderful! Will you keep us updated while you’re there?

Sure! We are going to the Alabama stakes. Not sure if we will go more days than one yet. We are camping and like to hike and sightsee too although we just got a new puppy yesterday so not sure how much of anything we will actually be able to do.

I know this is the racing forum. But you can’t mention a new puppy without pictures

Aaaaaw… baby Pom! :two_hearts:

I really LOVE watching Saratoga Live on FS1 and FS2 … I record it so I watch the races in the evenings and FF through commercials and a lot of commentary until the horses are in the paddock and then hit the play button!

Great long shot win in the Lure Stakes by Dynadrive. An exciting stretch run with Sifting Sands.

Fun to see Dynaformer in the pedigree.

…and now it’s pouring down rain.

3 Y/O Tapit x Havre de Grace homebred colt (Saint Tapit) wins his 2nd start for Mandy Pope. Is now 2 for 2.

Saint Tapit looked great!

Years ago a friend had a son of Dynaformer that she tried to make into a hunter. He was very athletic, a lovely mover and a good jumper, but was not pleasant to be around. Not an ammy ride. I rode him once and realized that I was only staying on top because he happened to be in a good mood that day. Only rode him once, that was enough.

Dynaformer himself was a difficult horse and was known to pass that on, fairly often.

Life is Good wins the Whitney. Happy Saver 2nd. Hot Rod Charlie 3rd.

I admire the never say die running by Hot Rod Charlie. He’s such a trier.

Nice coverage of the Hambletonian and great stretch drive…Wesley Ward apparently owns a piece of King of the North, unfortunately didn’t get a piece of this one.

Biggest peeve with the TV coverage is FOX 1 and 2 and TVG list Jockey, Trainer, Owner, Sire, Dam and Damsire on the post parade template. NBC does not list any breeding info. Even in Win and In Breeders Cup qualifiers and/or when hosts are discussion how well bred or how well sire/dam did on the track or in the shed. Really?

Come on NBC, its one more line and important information for bettors.
