Saying NO nicely

As someone who is neurodivergent, albeit autistic which is completely different than what this young woman is dealing with, I wouldn’t ever say someone shouldn’t own a horse because of a disability whether it be a physical disability, mental disability, intellectual disability, learning disability or developmental disability.

It’s not her disability. It’s that she’s a young woman who doesn’t seem to have her life together yet and does not, from what has been said on this thread, to be in a position to own a horse anytime soon.

You need to focus on your situation and figuring out what the future of your barn is, from the sound of it.

She needs to focus on her situation, getting appropriate treatment (if needed and I don’t say that to presume she’s not getting it) for her issues, and getting her life together. The option to own a horse will still be there for her when she’s older and has her life in order and frankly it seems to me like it’s probably a lot more fun to have horses when you have the money to do it more or less how you want to, within reason.

Exactly! Empty stalls are ok, some BO make this a choice.
