Ooh I got a second box yesterday! Criss will be very happy with the treats when I take them over to the barn today, and the boot socks are wonderful. You can never have too many boot socks!

The post kept your box safe and sound over New Years. I picked it up today. There was much paper shuffling, data entry, ID card inspection, and box label checking by the postal clerk. So much so that I was starting to wonder if it had really been shipped by diplomatic courier or something! 
But, when she finally let me take it: What an awesome box it is! The very best part is the pic of you and Fior. So sweet. 
Love the Southern treats–even from Southern Season (cheese straws = nom nom). :yes: I am actually running low on spicy sauce, so the rib sauce/rub and hot sauce are just in time.
Good lip balm is ALWAYS welcome :yes:
That thermos is terrific! It will definitely log some kilometers to the uni and on weekend cycling trips.
And Hot Tamales!! When they rattled a little coming out of the of the packing box, my SO dropped what he was doing and literally pricked his ears. :lol: “Tamales?? How did she know?” I told him it’s just that special majick we horse girls share. (True story: Last night we sat down to watch a movie, and he said sadly, ‘where are the Tamales?’ :lol: )

I am so happy to hear that you finally got your box! I’m sorry it took so long, it was supposed to be there before Christmas. This was my first time truly shipping overseas, I’m glad it got to you OK. I lied about the glass bottle on the customs form, it was a production here, too.
Since I know you love cooking, I wanted to give you some truly Southern spices and goodies. If your cholesterol didn’t rise a few points with the cheese straws, I failed. The other spices/sauces are widely used around here and are pretty great.
I know you are a Ph.D. student (i was one, too!) and you are biking in summer and winter. That thermos keeps things very hot for winter and very cool for summer. All Ph.D. students need something to sip on at all hours, in all weather.
I’m happy you and your SO liked the Tamales! I had to buy a replacement box because I ate one. :lol:
It was so fun to shop for you, and so fun to use Google Translate to make messages for you. I hope they made some kind of sense!!! :lol: I tried to use “back translate” to see if they made sense, but I’m not sure how well that worked.

I apologize for the delay in letting you how blown away I was by your box of goodies!
The halter is perfect! The saddle pad is almost too beautiful to use, especially as he is a woolly mammoth right now. 
He will LOVE the treats! He might not be the biggest fan of the hoofpick, but I have had my eye on that for those big hooves for a while.
It was so much fun to open on Christmas morning. DH was working, and DD traveling with her dad to stepmom’s family, so it gave me something to look forward to.

Yea, I certainly hope that nothing has happened to my elf, but it looks like I’ve probably been grinched. It is quite disheartening, especially considering I was totally alone on Christmas Day.

I am most certainly signing up next year. I have always gotten such wonderful things and I would never grinch someone.
To me if one signs up for this they make a commitment to it.
To let someone down like that, unless one is very ill in the hospital in a coma, or dead. Well you know what I mean.

Last year I did not even sign up but it was my first christmas in my new house alone, and I got the most wonderful slew of heart felt gifts from someone I now consider to be a wonderful friend. She just did it because!
I will not out her as it was last year, and it was just something she wanted to do.

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry that someone else is in the same situation! This is my second year doing it, and I have to say…it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I’m late with my thanks, but I got my second box a couple days after Christmas. The bracelet and earrings are very cute and a perfect size for my small wrist. They look like they may have been handmade, which is always awesome. Thanks, Secret Santa!

The Ducks velcro baggies super cute! And SO starts grad school this week so between me using them at the markets and him using them for school, they will get plenty of use, GO DUCKS!
I am super excited to plant the Moonflower bush. Last week I cleared out all the weeds and vines that grow up along the property chain link fencing and this is where I am going to put the Moonflower. Both along the back fencing and the side. (to block the yucky neighbor) We spend a lot of time back in the yard. We are building a patio and loads of wood for the fire pit.
Its says to sow in May, but I am going to start some babies in the next week or so, when I am done with my veggies and get them started and transfer the babies to the fence.

I just received a mysterious small priority mail box with an address that is the right state for you but had no name on the box. It had an exquisite miniature sterling vase. Is that from you??? If it is, OMG!!! I’m in heaven.
Yep! That was the 2nd box that I finally got shipped out last week. I got busy between the holidays so it took me a little longer to get to the post office.
It’s a wonderful attraction here in town - I thought they’d have something right up your alley. Maybe it will inspire a southwest themed miniature something or another :yes:. I thought it would be perfect for you!

Just curious if spotteddrafter and jcraig10 have heard anything else? Contact from your elves or de-grinching in the works? Just don’t want you guys to get a raw deal from the COTH Secret Santa and not feel like playing again next year.
CHOCOMARE is probably on top of this, but I just felt like I shoulda ask. I love Secret Santa so much, and I want everyone else to feel that way, too!
ETA: And to my special elf, I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying the gloves. I have worn them every day this week to work, and they haven’t seen the barn yet! A Christmas miracle!
