I have fallen in love with the Selle Francais breed. Google searches have fallen short on finding available stallions here in the US.
What Selle Francais stallions are available? Frozen or fresh. Especially stallions who produce a good mind (forward, brave and trainable) and a talent towards eventing.
Just curious to see what’s out there.

Centaur Farms is standing Crin Rouge. We’ve never bred to him, but I’ve seen him in person and he is lovely.

I own a 5yr old mare by him who I absolutely adore. This stallion is very old school, and definitely not the “prettiest” but was a powerful jumper who stayed sound for years. His stud fee is very reasonable, it is supporting a good school, and his offspring are quite nice. I have three of his offspring at my place if you want pics, just message me.

In Canada http://www.armstrongfarm.com/ has two Selle Francais Stallions. We have a mare by Ilian De Taute.

<smile>…thanks Molly! yes, Edelweiss “is” approved in France - not sure why he’s not listed on the N.A. Selle Francais site, but will check into it. And, despite being so incredibly bred to jump, he actually competed to Grand Prix in dressage under Catherine Haddad-Staller (who stated he was the EASIEST horse she ever trained to Grand Prix) and under Mette Rosencrantz.
You certainly can access frozen by “Diamant de Semilly” and maybe even of “Baloubet du Rouet” or “Quick Star” to name just the top SF stallions.
I’m not sure if “Quidam de Revel” clone is available to US breeders.

If I am not mistaken, the last Quick Star FS in NA was sold a few years ago. However, I may be wrong and , if so, would be very pleased to be corrected!
I’ve used two SF stallions that are stationed here in Lexington. At Spy Coast, there is Far West who jumped around in France as a young horse and then here in the US for the Caristo’s. He’s a personal favorite of mine. Grand gentleman with an impressive show record. And then there is Derek Braun’s Jetstar du Lozon who is a son of Papillon Rouge. Jetstar competed in Europe with Lars Nieberg and then was purchased and competed by Derek. Sadly, a non-performance related mishap prematurely ended his career. He was approved in Europe. Very, very classy horse. I have a 2011 filly by him out of my Coconut Grove-Final Pool mare that I am quite pleased with and is marked as a keeper filly. Both stallion owners are very good to work with and both stallions have very good fertility. We’ve also used the Jaguar Mail frozen semen provided by Hilltop …excellent quality semen.
Hilltop has frozen from Jaguar Mail and Alligator Fontaine as well!
Didn’t Rising Star just acquire some nice new young stallions with French blood?

Oh man does he look JUST like a gelding I used to own/adore! So I think he is adorable! 
It would be nice if they had some video or said what the offspring crosses were (besides the dam’s name).

SF stallion not listed – maybe not activated ? I know he is fully approved with the SF.

He was shown in dressage but can jump as well. His dam produced several additional offspring that competed through at least Prix St George level also. I own his half sister by the same dam.
I would think he would produce offspring that could excel in eventing.

I had his first foal for a number of years, I bought him at 4 months old, and sold him last year as a 5yo. He was mellow, easy to ride, good temperament. Not a very fancy horse, but a good jumper. I have video of the gelding I had, and somewhere I have video of the stallion too. My gelding was out of a TB mare. I had another foal by him out of an Arabian mare, and it was actually one of the better moving offspring I’ve seen by him. Not sure how the jump ended up on that one, I sold her as a 2yo, she had a very good mind too though.
PM if me if you want more info, I’m familiar with the stallion and can at least give you more insight on the offspring that I had. The horse has a very good mind, that’s for sure.
The French Studbook has about 2000 Approved Stallions standing all around the world. The Stallion listed on the ANSF-US web site are only the stallions that are approved and actively standing and/or available here in North America and from owners/agents that have contacted us to list them.

Edelweiss De Bonce
Love, love, love Edelweiss De Bonce. I really wanted to use him on my mare Cinnabar, but decided not to breed her again. Whitehedge Farm has a gorgeous yearling filly by Edelweiss that I love. Not only is she stunning, she has a terrific disposition, very in your pocket, but polite about it. 
Kathy, my DH and I were in OKC this past weekend and on the way home I nearly had him turn off in Wynnewood… I need to visit one of these days.
