Shamless Smartpak Rave

I just want to rave about how much I love smartpak since I know they post and read this part of the board. Like LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I’ve just started my new horse on one and got a wonderful call today confirming that there would be a new months shipping soon and what day was my last to make changes AND they wished me a good day. I love love love love love their polite, caring, and nice customer service so much. I have never ever been disappointed in anything I ordered, and the one time something didn’t fit, I was able to return it so easily.

Gosh I love that there’s a company out there like them, plus they make fantastic hilarious videos and I cannot even fathom how much I just adore smartpak. Thanks for being absolutely amazing.

I love the videos and cheap shipping but was really disappointed with their customer service. The turnout I got from them ripped in about two days (Amigo brand) but when I asked about returning it they said they couldn’t do anything about it!

I could find better deals on stuff, but I’m in love with their customer service! A WEEK before my show, I switched from derby jumpers (which I had everything for) to hunters, and had no tack or show clothes appropriate for that. I called SmartPak, it really wasn’t their crisis, but they treated it as such. I liked them so much, I bought everything I needed from them. They even waived the Overnight shipping fee, and one item was on b/o until 3 days before, someone was personally working on getting THAT straightened out. So awesome.

Possibly because Horseware has a separate return/replacement policy for some issues. I tried to return my Amigo I got last year from them because it wasn’t waterproof. They were very helpful, but I had to send it directly to Horseware. It was turning into a huge PITA (not because of Smartpak), so I kept it and only used it with one of my good turnouts (Smartpak brand :smiley: ) under or over. I waterproofed the Amigo this year…far less of a hassle!

Otherwise, I love them and if I don’t buy local, I 90% of the time buy from them. :yes:

Yes, they are great. I am always calling CS after 8 or 9pm with random questions about this or that. They’re always super friendly and helpful and I always end up with the answer I need. :heart: SP!

Love smartpak! I won a pair of tall boots from them last year. Wore them a few times and my fat calves broke the zipper. Even though I didn’t even pay for the boots, they still sent me a shipping label to return the broken ones and had the new ones out to me asap!

HATE smartpack for not shipping to Canada :frowning:

So agree! And having a US PO box isn’t even an option for me since the nearest US town is at least a 6-7 hour drive. Booooo! I understand that a) it is very expensive for a company to set up international shipping, and b) they can’t guarantee the time-sensitive shipping of supplements due to all the customs crap at the border, but I would be TOTALLY content only being able to buy certain supplements and only in bulk and tack. They have mentioned a few times that it is maybe something they would offer in the future, but I have not seen any progress towards that :(.

Orally fixated gelding decided to oral fixate on his blanket last year. It is still referred to as The Great Blanket Assassination in the barn. No fuss at all about returning, and used the credit on something much more… durable.

Just got my new catalog in the mail today. I can’t wait to get some new stuff for my new horse! :slight_smile:

Add me to the list of loving smartpak! It’s the ONLY place online I’ve been able to find an actual velvet helmet in my daughter’s very small size. Everywhere else only has the ugly colored plastic schooling helmets in her size :no:

That said, I will also plug Mary’s Tack and Feed in Del Mar, as they gave me a brand new helmet (for free), when the harness on my old helmet broke (after 10 months) and I went in to replace the harness. Nordstrom’s level customer service.

I purchased several custom bags, custom coolers and some other fun things from them this year. I ordered some things from Dover at the same time. Smartpak had sent 2 of my orders a week or so before the first Dover items came.
Their customer service is excellent and is what really keeps me going back even if something is a tad more on their site. I ordered my new Mountain Horse winter coat from them just a few weeks ago. Their free return policy is most helpful with sized items.

Don’t forget that they don’t charge an arm and a leg for shipping either!! :slight_smile:

I just found out about this new company. Haven’t ordered from them yet so I can’t comment on much personally, but they do “SmartPak” type supplement orders, so it might be worth a shot.

Add me to the Smartpak lovers group… although I do have a complaint. They do need another store and definitely one here on the west coast!!! (preferably in WA… although if they had the bargain attic I would definitely be broke). And they should improve the transit time when shipping to out here on the west coast too! I miss the nearly overnight shipping when I lived on the east coast. Although I can’t complain too much about the shipping because it is free after all.

another win for Smartpak. I finally used the clippers I bought almost a YEAR ago, to find that the replacement blade I purchased along with them didn’t work. Called them up this morning, hoping that they would just do an exchange or return for me on them (since it was $25 for the blade) but they are instead sending me a free replacement! I know its not a huge costly item but still…its been almost a year. Great customer service as usual SP!
