Show Hunter Bridles

Has anyone had any experience with ExionPro bridles?
Thoughts on this bridle for the hunter ring?

Finally got a half decent photo of the mud monster in his In Gate figure 8 for any jumper riders stalking this thread. Really happy with it. He’s also sporting the matching running martingale.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I returned the In Gate bridle because while a lovely bridle, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I sent it Priority Mail and wouldn’t you know, they pulled it for forwarding for some reason, with no forwarding order on file, and now the package is lost. I had declined the extra insurance, so the most I can get reimbursed is $50. :worried: Jimmy has been extremely helpful in dealing with the post office, but to no avail. So I’m out $350 for now. I can still file a claim within 60 days of mailing.

In Gate has offered me credit if the package isn’t found, which is extremely generous of him. It’s not his fault and he doesn’t have to, so kudos to him.

I have one of these. They’re ok quality. Waxy, but look fine. For the price point it’s fine - I would prefer something else.

For a comparable price point, I prefer the CC Signature Bridle though they are VERY similar.

Tell me about the C&C bridle.

I have this one - https://cc-signature.com/c-c-wide-hunter-bridle/

I find it’s not dissimilar to the Albion bridle but I found that with some oiling, the CC is super soft and supple, and the leather has held up remarkably well for the price. The Albion still feels a bit stiff and I don’t love the quality of the leather. I got the chestnut brown version with hopes that it would oil to a nice brown and it hasn’t changed colors at all even after attempting to strip and re oil. I’d get the CC if I was in the market for a $150ish bridle over and over again.

I bought a CandC as a schooling bridle. Agree. Very nice for the price point. The fit was just not right for the horse and I had to send it back. Service was top notch. I kept the martingale and it’s held up really well for the price point. I would have previously recommended Ovation but the CandC is very nice for the price point. The stitching on the “ingate” bridle looks nicer but so is the price point (still very reasonable).

I have a few and love them all. I prefer mine to some other brands (HDR, Nunn Finer, even a Vespucci and Edgewood I had). The sizing isn’t perfect in the Hunter bridle (noseband is small on my petite cob) but they were happy to swap parts out for other sizes last time I ordered (cob with horse sized noseband and oversized browband). I receive compliments on the figure 8 constantly (which is the older of the bridles) though that is my daily use bridle. I appreciate the adjustability info both sides of the bridle and all of the padding. Great bridles for the price point and they come with reins.

For those with the In Gate Bridle, how does the sizing run?

I have a partially dinosaur-headed gelding, so browbands and cheek-piece length are often tricky in standard sizing.

Hi there. This is Jimmy from The In Gate. Thanks so much for your interest in our bridle.

On our Extra Full, the browband is 14" inside the loops and just over 16" including the loops. The cheek pieces are 10" long not including the buckle.

If you have any other questions or would like to discuss custom sized bridles, feel free to contact me directly. Thanks again!

Excellent. That sounds ideal. Thank you!

Both horses here are in the extra full. One has a long delicate WB face and one has a doorknob head. Both needed the XF although I had to punch holes in the noseband for the mare.
