Show Hunters of the past

Oh BH2 we MUST know each other. Do you remember little Winter Music. He was Krissy’s sm jr until she sold him to some girl from NY and bought Watch What Happens from Dina.

Racey - the only ones I can be sure of are Wren (sp?) Hubbard - on the cooler; Charley Weaver and the lone pic is, I think, Phil Keiley. (sp?)

Hs anyone mentioned Holy Smoke yet? He was such a cool horse. Not the prettiest, but he just did things so easily.

COTH’s very own Claudius (Leslie DuCharme) found him and started him before selling him as a first year horse. I remember Pam Duffy owning him before Ronnie had Angela Janklow buy him.

I’m a little late but I’m raising my hand also…I was at LP when Rainforest was shot…such a sad affair…couldn’t believe it…

With all of the older generation now committed to attending the shows, a Depends concession might be a good venture. I can see all of the older amateurs thinking “Hmmm, port-o-let, depends, port-o-let, depends”

Uh, speak for yourself please.

Cindeye…shaking head…Riot Free a grey? Bay showed by Patty Heuckeroth.

…and one year the lights went out while Joey was galloping down a line in the working stake…When they came back on…dead silence…Joey was sitting on his horse in the center of the MSG ring facing the judge’s box…he exclaimed; “Ah finished mah round, and it was PERFECT!”. God he was funny.

Racetb, boy that is an old picture! I don’t know who that is, but is Scott Williamson still around? I have not heard his name in awhile, but I don’t travel a lot.

Jimmy Lee’s “Sign The Card”. Everytime I saw that mare she put in consistently great rounds

Oh I went to dinner with friends, and came home to find all you youngsters had left the forum. This morning I rode my horse who was feeling rather wild, his first time on good footing in over a month. Needless to say, the cabernet will be flowing at a record pace tonight.

Racetb - We need Richard Z. But he probably couldn’t remember either.

Ann Yohai… </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Where is she now? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ann used to judge but I haven’t seen her in several years. Her farm, Old Mill still exists.

Hi Freckles, you and I are the same age so I remember many of the horses you named especially Sight Unseen.

Speculation.

At this time, I would like to point out to all the older and younger riders here, that my position has never been classic.

<BLOCKQUOTE class=“ip-ubbcode-quote”><div class=“ip-ubbcode-quote-title”>quote:</div><div class=“ip-ubbcode-quote-content”>And I do believe I saw Lansonette go, but for some reason I think with a junior rider… </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
That would have been with her next owner, Pam Carmichael, who is the mother of the current pony star Lily Keenan.

Photo Jeopardy…I Love it,but am not very good at it…
Pancho!!!..Dogs name…???Tinkabelle???
I want to say the chestnut horse, rider…Kevin Maloney???

I agree Silk - today’s courses are not tight by any means. Today the three foot looks far trickier to me than back in the day when I jumped the four foot.

<BLOCKQUOTE class=“ip-ubbcode-quote”><div class=“ip-ubbcode-quote-title”>quote:</div><div class=“ip-ubbcode-quote-content”>Lu Thomas has a bunch of nice horses too </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I remember her and
Butch showing up in Calgary in the 80’s when they had hunter classes at Spruce Meadows, with a horse called K-Doc nothing could beat him

Okay, we need to make a list people. Of the horses we have talked about, cause we are sure sounding like an ole age home here.

What was the name of the grey horse Joey was showing at Lake Placid, the horse slipped in slo mo. Went down, and Joey stepped off and left the ring. Leaving the horse to get up on his own.

David was the father, James showed the ponies.
