Can’t do the photo jeopardy and sorry to be so late to this thread. Racetb - where on earth did you did up these photos!
How come no one’s mentioned Russian Caviar yet? He was a pistol out of the ring, but what a great jump!

Thank you, Jane! I have been trying to think of Playing Games name for a week. I just loved that horse! I rode part time for Bill and Frank in Fla. for a few winters, and I got to ride him all week before Clea came down to show. What a dream he was!

Does anyone remember Boren? He was a neat (yet quirky) one I rode for the Youngs. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Is that the same Boren that Patty Heuckeroth rode?
The Leone’s had rain Forest before Karen McKelvey, and were equally as successful with him!
The Pines is one of the few places in Connecticut that has shows all winter. The entire place was built out of spare parts. In other lives it was a rest home, and before that a Catskills type resort.
Buggs, I remember your Raise the Roof. He was a nice horse. Jimmy Arnott had him as a green horse when he worked with Bev Ver Steeg. He was named after the Raise the Roof that he had back east because Jimmy liked the name so much.
I remeber Showdown when he was in CA., also Scott To Do, The Bird, Old Salt, Best Bet. I remember good horses from both coasts and in between. lol
What happened to Rain Forest?
TheAce of diamonds I remember was a hunter, possibly a conformation hunter?Black horse with a star shaped like a diamond?
Kim’s Song is way back on page three. When you read this over, there are a lot of amazing horses.
Who was the grey mare owned and shown by Kim Dorfman at the same time?
I got it!!
Swing Set
Two lovely horse that Bob Freels had back in the day, Virginia Clay and Mick Mcquaid. Mick had tons of success with Robin Rost and then Dorlee Ruger. He came to Fairfield at the end of his career for Tricia Andrews.

I can picture her – she was really cute (except when she left out 1 1/2 strides in a jump off with her A/O jumper and ended up with a broken nose and 2 black eyes).
Didn’t she end up marrying Pierre Jolicouer?
Cowboy was a darling horse and she was a really good rider.
He was also the only horse I ever knew who had had an “ear job”. His real ears had been considered too big for his little head. So an equine plastic surgeon was consulted and presto chango! Cowboy had the cutest little ears in the West. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes, It was Becky Warner…She did marry Pierre, but they later divorced…Last I heard she was in Mid West…That A/O jumper she left a stride out on was Plen-T-Pac!!!
Cowboy was Sold to Rusty Holzer when Susie Humes was Training him…Yes,Poor thing Did have an Ear Job!!! He was a cutie…
Becky also had a Great A/O Jumper,Min De Rien(SP)?? Jumped Beautifully at Spruce Meadows
Last I spoke to Becky,Min and Pac were both retired at her parents farm in Albequerque
I was at the Sunnyfield Farm winter shows too!!!
Did any of you stable at Shannon Stables when it was owned by old Mr Hawkins and run by Artie? That would have been in the early '60’s. I know that because, as we all do, I remember where I was when I heard that JFK had been killed – and it was coming back from the ring and walking through the archway into the courtyard at Shannon Stables. Old Fred (he of the ever wet/soggy cigar hanging out of his mouth) came up to my mother and me and told us about President Kennedy.
Charge Account was ridden by at least three riders who placed in the top three at the finals, Jenno Topping, Kristin Newman and Mia Wood. Night Life, another Beacon Hill horse, took Ruth Ann Bowers and Alice Debaney to high finishes. Magic Word from the west coast, trained by Karen Healy and ridden by Lauren Kay (?) is a third horse that I can remember earning top placings at the finals, as well as being extremely competitive in the hunters. Now, all the horses are specialists, with back ups!
Do you remember me? I had Teddy a gray horse when I came there, and later Luke that I bought from TQ…
Sorry you were so offended TeriKessler, no one else seems to be. The circumstances have been public knowledge for many years. However, I will remove my post anyway.
Dexter Dan and Rave Review as well.

How could they not Ruby. We all remember them, they could gallop and jump. Maybe not the typical tight courses in the rings we have now, but they sure made our hearts soar to watch them. It would be fun to see how they would fair. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
A lot of them didnt have the stride for todays’ lines.
Okay New Englanders:
What was the hunter’s name, ridden by Frank Madden as a junior for Bill Cooney?
Good point, Vabred. The Best Young Horse in 1972 was Pax. They did not list the 1972 Best Young Pony.
