The amount of scope that Clinta has is just insane.
Does anyone else have trouble watching McLain? I was so nervous, my heart was in my throat, and I jumped every jump with him, hands all over the place. Whew, I love his riding!!! It’s actually emotional for me to watch. I’m sappy that way.
I had heart palpitations as they came into the last combination.
Whew McLain, that last line was amazing, talk about grit!! Go USA!
I always expect that McLain is going to do well, but after looking at today’s scores I am even more impressed with Adrienne, considering her relative inexperience, and Eddie Blue and Devin as well.
Me, too. As a team, they are doing so well. The less experienced really came through beautifully. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I really cant say anything bad about any of our rides. “Z” may have been affected by the lost (and replaced) shoe, and still did better than a whole lot of riders.
Man I was hoping McLain would be able to hold onto the lead, but I like Lorenzo so I guess it’s okay
Still a lot of jumping left this week.
No offense to Lorenzo, but I think McLain is a lot more consistent and has a better chance of putting up more clear rounds, so I think he is in a great position. I do think Zeremonie may have been distracted by the lost shoe right before she was ready to jump, and even so 8 faults seemed to be a decent score over this course.
Hope to “see” you all tomorrow.
NBC Sports network is replaying the jumping! I was only able to watch the live scoring earlier. I’m a happy camper now.
Yay! (It was a long day.)
i record it and try to watch at night but I’m still on the first round.
LOL! I had the same reaction, it seems that every time she’d say something about the pair being clear, a rail would fall…!
Question: when looking at the results, I see some riders have 1 point penalty but it doesn’t look like it’s a time fault…? So what does it mean?
Everyone except the winner (Steve Geurdat) in the first round has penalties added onto their score from the speed round. It’s to help prevent there being tie later on I believe. It’s why they have such weird numbers like 1.87. There is some sort of formula to it, I just don’t know what it is  The world cup and Olympics are run like this as well.
I had not realized that they got rid of the “horse swapping” round. Good decision, I think. As much fun (and telling!) as it was to watch some competitors handle each horse perfectly, others, not so much , I couldn’t help but feel for the horses, who must have been wondering what the he!! was going on…
Watching the replay I felt so bad for laura. That orange rail was just a whisper of a rub.
Is it 1:30 yet?
Sadly it is not like being “5:00 o’clock somewhere.”
Only 2.5 more hours to go.
Em
And counting!!
