Good one for Ludger.
So, what is the deal with the “Hong Kong” vs. “China” teams? A way to get twice the opportunities for medals, or what?
Hong Kong is an autonomous region of China, similar to ireland or wales in relation to england. GB ended the lease in 1996…er 1997? I can’t remember and my net is too slow to go a’googling this morning.
WOW!!! That was beautiful!!! Go Ninja!
Me likey Zorro
It CAN be done!!! Go Rolf!!! Go Ninja! (Appropriate name to conquer China.)
I actually love that ZORRO!

Except, of course, Wales and Northern Ireland ( plus Scotland) compete as part of GB and don’t get their own teams!
Loved that round by Ninja, but I really love the combination of a black horse named Zorro!
Has any one else noticed that the course has to be really ridden forward. Very few riders have been able to do it. Especially at the triple a lot of people are taking a tug right before it an not having enough engine to get through cleanly.
Also, it seems that very few riders are getting straight to the water. The ones who end up forward and straight get over clear.

The Wild Child should be on in a sec … Genoa. Please let me know how she goes. Crazy thing
We have a drag break right now, she is up after the break.

Yup–forward AND collected–not a flat out gallop–that’s a big part of the question raised by the designer, I think.
bless your heart. Every time I see her go she makes my heart stop. But she is very very clever.

Sissy. That’s why laptops were invented.
OK, you take your laptop into the bathroom? Great mental picture…:lol:
Thanks all you key tapping enthusiasts. I can’t watch it live (crashes box) but I’m following your comments and the results like an old time radio show. It’s great. Thanks.
Is there a cutoff point for those trying to make it into the individual competition?

Haha, we’re probably almost as accurate as the commentators. You hear some crazy stuff from commentators…like the other day they said someone didn’t even touch a rail at the SAME time they show replay video of a rail rocking and rolling in the jump cups. LOL.
If you saw Ninja go, the only double clear, I thought it was very interesting how he rode the triple. Most riders have been picking to the 1st and then have to gun it out, I thought this guy (I forget his name) did a nice job just getting the horse in there nice and forward and letting the horse back himself up as needed. he literally dropped Ninja in front of the first jump…I was worried but what a great horse, just did it himself, which obviously worked out great for them.
