Showjumping Round 2: Sunday am
What happened there? That was out of character. Who knew she would be our drop score?
Plus, she is probably out of the running for an individual medal :frowning:

It didn’t look like Beezie set him up real well for the turn… unfortunate. But we are still tied for 1st! As bit of an off day for them but they will be better tomorrow.

One rail separates the top 4 teams, and 2 more 1 fault back. Good stuff, should make for a great day tomorrow.

And the Norwegians… WTF!!!
When did they learn to showjump?

Still tied for first, but who else thought we’d be dropping Will’s score and have a comfortable lead?

I don’t think Authentic looked to be hurting. He looked very fresh. Bummer, although the US is still in the hunt.

And that concludes today’s commentary from the west side of my bedroom…

Be back tomorrow, same time, same place!:winkgrin:

Slowly raises hand. Yep, Beezie looked sooo good on Friday :frowning:

I think it’s crazy how many rounds these horses have to endure…

So I wonder if Ludger Beerbaum is worried now? He’s in 40 place, not looking good for getting into the individual rounds.

Was I the only one who lost there feed in the middle of beezie’s go???

I’ve been sitting in front of the computer for hours and that sucked!!

What is the bigger shocker? Beezie and Authentic’s rare loss of communication or that the GERMANS didn’t make the cut???

Agreed. When he first came on course I thought he looked super fresh. I was thinking to myself that the good news is that our horses are probably very fit and ready for this competition… bad news is they’re all a little happy and fresh when they get in the ring. He appeared very hard to focus and didn’t jump the first couple jumps well at all.

 wouldn’t it be Beezie’s score we’d be dropping?

I thought he looked fresh, too. From my comfy chair, it looked like he fought her in the turn and propped, which made them lose the distance very close to a huge combination. It then looked like Beezie’s decision not to risk it. I could most definitely be wrong, though…I’m not the one out there!

I’m sure we’ll read about it in COTH’s online article later today. Hopefully they’ll include a photo of Cedric jumping the bridge!

Are you serious?
2 rounds in 3 days so far? At any regular big show, Spruce Meadows, Aachen, Hickstead, they jump more than that. Nations Cup is normally two rounds in a day, and so are GP classes.

He looked to me to be crooked (haunches left) coming around the turn to that triple; it appeared as though Beezie tried to straighten him, he sucked back, and then they just lost their line to the first fence :frowning: (Crooked and behind the leg–no way could he have jumped that difficult combo!)

(He looks like a handful to ride, so kudos to Beezie )

Big bummer, though, and my poor family got to hear me cursing a blue streak :stuck_out_tongue:

wouldn’t it be Beezie’s score we’d be dropping?

it is, but like everyone else, after Will’s horse was the least ridable of the first 3 I thought’s he’d be the drop score after Beezie went. Must be something about that turn to that line that neither Will’s horse or Authentic liked, because they both really wanted to drift left going into the triple.

Yes, we are now. She meant that going into today’s competition, some people assumed that Will would be the drop score.

I’m glad he’s feeling ok, he almost looked like he got pinched a little by the bit. It must be so hard to balance warming up enough without making them tired.

She meant that’s what we all thought would happen, Beezie would go well and we’d drop Will’s 8. Except that didn’t happen.

It looked like she didn’t have the stride at all coming off the corner. Couldn’t go into a triple that big with no stride and the horse sucking back.
