5:45AM I just heard neighbor start his motorcycle to ride to work, supposed to be 88F today so Spring must be here now.
Horses are still in winter mode sleeping in until 7AM but enjoying the spring grass in the pastures. The weanling is turning into a Horse, he appears to be about 13h now, He has been a pleasure to handle very easy going, He did fracture his nasal cavity by apparently running into the gate in the round pen (found some hair on the gate) . A trip to the vet was desired, so off he went at 6AM still dark, he walked onto the trailer without an issue (also reloaded at the vets without a problem, he is a shipping trooper) , At the vets they had x-ray plates on top of his head then along the side of his nose, he just stood there … nasal cavity was fractured, prognosis is it will heal as long as he does not run into a gate again so he has been transferred to the pasture with Lexie which is of electric fence tape without a metal gate.
