The Itty Bitty has discovered that yes, she can in fact get into trouble, and that yes, Mummy WILL use the spray bottle on her little tabby butt.
So far, she’s been spritzed for trying to climb up my vintage hat boxes (containing vintage hats/inventory for my shop), and for trying to chew on electrical cords and power cables. I have several cuts, scratches, and stab wounds on my legs, including a fantastic one that will probably scar (she’s hit the exact same place 3 times in 3 days).
Hammie is also getting tired of her hijinks, as evidenced by the fact that he keeps getting up and leaving the room when she tries to play.
I know it’s a phase and she’ll grow out of it soon, but ye gods . . . it’s been a very long time since I’ve had a kitten like this!
Thank you for this thread and pics of most adorable little kitty who has the look of knowing he is LOVED. And Hamilton is so beautiful. In these times of great stress and BS going on in the world is people like you doing good things that give us all hope.
I’m thinking the working title of the book about them should be “Something Silly This Way Comes.”
Today was the first day she spent out of the crate while I was gone - I had to go run errands for a few hours. She was asleep on my bed when I got home. No worries. So hopefully she has graduated to that and will continue to behave if I’m not here.
