I’m glad he is better. Now let’s hope Miss IB is a simple fix. jingle jingle jingle
Oh, a holiday free of stress and vet visits would be so nice!
Ham is definitely better now, at least. He ate supper, begged to go in the crate, and ate again. No problems today.
Tomorrow, I wrestle Itty-bitty and the last OG, Mick (She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) to the vet for check-ups.
After many attempts to get a photo of the Itty-bitty wearing her Santa hat, this is as close as we’re going to get.
So cute! Thank you!
that’s ok we’ll just imagine what she looks like, face straight on, eyes sparkling, and a devilish grin.
your memories of trying to get the hat on straight are prolly worth more than a perfect pic.
She’s still our adorable Itty.
How did the vet appt go?
We’re leaving in about 20 minutes, actually - hoping it’s nothing serious!
Fingers crossed and prayers sent. Please let us know.
So she had a retained baby tooth that was rotting. It was loose - the vet pulled it right out - but was DISGUSTING. Like, the vet almost threw up from the smell. It had kind of hooked around the adult tooth trying to come in, and just couldn’t quite let go.
So there we go! Mystery solved. Glad it wasn’t just me being paranoid.
Glad the tooth is out ! Does Itty Bitty Big hate you for taking her back to the vet ?
Mick ok ? Know she hates the vet event !
No, she doesn’t hold a grudge. She’s laying here purring next to me. She ate fine.
Mick is actually right here, too. There is a claw in my leg. She is not purring. But the vet tech, who ha known her for ages, was sad that Mick was actually good for her today - “She didn’t try to rip my face off! That’s kind of sad!” She is 17, though; the OG is slowing down.
You are such a perceptive kitty owner. Good for you on noticing that! Happy that our Itty is fine now.
All is well.
Thanks for the update. What a relief, for her and you. Nothing worse than worrying about our animals, knowing something isn’t right but not quite understanding what they’re trying to tell us.
EW! I’ve smelled that before and yes, it’s nasty. Poor Bitty Kitty - glad that is over and is fixed. Glad Hammie is feeling better, too.
Quick update - the vet called. Mick’s blood work was totally normal! After this past year, that was just the thing I needed to hear for Christmas!
He also said that he’d never seen a kitten have that particular tooth problem - puppies, yes, but not a cat. Currently the Itty-bitty is curled up with Hammie, asleep.
And to all, a good night.
well thank you Beautiful Girl!! And may you have a glorious 2022 in your new home.
You are one lucky kitty, even if you don’t realize it. Be good.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to Itty Bitty Big and her pride & mom !
If she keeps growing your gonna have to change that name to Biggie Small
Then she can meow-rap
