So I did a thing today

What is Lilith and the gang up to today?

I still don’t know if that’s her name or not - generally after spending nearly two weeks with a cat, I get an idea of what they want to be called, but not her. Nothing seems to fit.

She’s running around the house today - she spent the afternoon napping in her crate. Nigel didn’t hiss and slap her today, so that’s a win. Neither did Sassy, even though the little one attacked her by mistake.

It is hard to find a name that fits their personality. I do like the name Lilith though.
Mine just got into my purse and took all my pens out, stole lip balm and were trying to get into a zippered side pocket. Little thieves!

Well, now she belongs to Hammie & your vote don’t count :smirk:

My Old Man was nearly blind when I got Ms Thang - 6wk Calico.
Middle cat ignored her, but OM hated the very idea.
For weeks she bounced off him, he hissed & swatted…
Then I came home one night & saw she had been thoroughly bathed, hair standing up every which way.
From that day on they were a trio.

I think her her show name should be “Hammie’s Mini-Me” and her barn name, “Minnie”!

Then Hammie needs to do a better job of babysitting her - this morning I came in from feeding outside to find she was eating the wicker basket the cat food bags sit in. Not trying to get to the cat food, just eating the wicker staves. I think I caught her before she actually ate anything, but still. What the fruitbat?

My Bouncecat loves the plastic bags chips come in. He’ll chew on them, drooling. Not the chips/salt, any cellophaneish bag is his Crack.
I have to be careful since he once got a piece wedged in his mouth & almost choked.
Weirdos :smirk_cat:

One of my kitties stole a 20 dollar bill out of my purse and a pen and pushed both down the register vent. I was able to get the 20 but not the pen yet. Little criminals!

My cat loves the little plastic strips that you have to tear off certain fresh food containers (like fresh salsa or soup?). Nothing more fun than trying to pin a cat that knows how to use its claws while it is trying to choke itself on plastic.
I do like your little bit of trouble! I’m asking for it…I wish an accidental kitten would drop into my lap here. But, I suppose Miss Kitty wouldn’t care for it At All.

You sure she’s not half bobcat, but with a tail? my what a little feistcat.

Does Hammie really bite and attack or play bite and play attack?

Depends on how mad she makes him! Most of the time he’s just play-biting, but if she really gets after him, he’ll let her know she’s crossed the line. I watch them pretty closely.

Last night they scared me - they were chasing each other through the hallway and she had turned around to leap at him just as he leaped on her. He hit her pretty hard in mid-air and flipped her. She’s fine, but it scared her for a little bit. I know this will come back to bite me in the butt, but I wish she had another kitten her size to play with.

Don’t suppose you’d want to FOSTER a kitty from a shelter just for a few weeks for a playmate til the gremlin grows up a bit?
Or another idea- My extra small cat loves to rough play with this rabbit toy that’s her same size.
I think it used to have a squeeker inside but it has long arms and legs that she swings around and throws. Then she bites it and leaps on it and she makes this fierce sounding growls. It’s her favorite toy and the only thing she plays with. She is/was a feisty feralish kitty taken way too early from her mama so she never learned good manners. When she wants something she will bite your toes or your legs or whatever she can reach. That’s just how she’s always communicated. And she so tiny that her bites aren’t true bites. Like little pin pricks.
Maybe I should send little “Motorboat” up to you to babysit your little devil. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

here’s the rabbit that squeeks- this is on Amazon but I got my at the feed store for my big dog but she only wanted it cause the store owner’s dog had one and of course my dog took it away from her and held onto it. So I thought I’d just get her one for herself- Nope she hardly touches it but the little cat loves it. It’s like her blanky when she sleeps sometimes too.

She’s a little stinkpot! Hammie is being a very good uncle to her. He isn’t hurting her but I’m noticing how he gradually ups the ante til she stops. Little misery she is…reminds me of Baler as a baby. He is perpetually stuck at that stage where he was just learning that biting and certain other things hurt and that you shouldn’t do them. He hasn’t really grown out of that and at nearly 17 lbs is too big and too rough for a kitten playmate.

Her little expression kills me. So tiny and SO angry! And yes…be careful what you wish for. lol

My Ella has had the habit of chewing on wooden things since she was a baby. A few of the corners on my dressers, wicker baskets, my grandfather clock, the bottom step to the staircase, a few wooden horse carvings, clothes pins and my coat rack to name a few. She really likes those wooden chew toys you can buy for hamsters.
She also steals pens, pencils, wooden spoons, hair elastics/barrettes, Q-Tips, toothbrushes and a memory key I still haven’t been able to find.
