SoloShot2 - tips? updated use? have questions for other SoloShot-ers

Same here and recording my rides has been a HUGE help. Not just for my position, but to see what my horse is doing – it is not always what it felt like she was doing, lol. I also use the recordings to have video lessons (critiques really) with a trainer via youtube or Skype. You can do so much if you have the equipment to get good videos.

I ordered the 3 this weekend, but I only ordered the 25, will this be adequate? Would only be using to film my rides in the arena outside so never too far away… If I shoudl call and switch to the 65 can you tell me why?? I’m not too tech savvy…

I’ve ordered just the 25 as well.
I use my soloshot2 a fair bit with a basic handycam for just my rides (then I delete them) and figure I don’t really need the 65.

Ugg - is anyone else DYING for “spring” (April?!?) to get here? I was in a rush this morning, totally missed a step in pairing, and didn’t have time to fix it to be able to record my lesson. Totally my fault, but I can’t WAIT until I can just power-up and start recording! Plus, my lessons are in the round pen and the arena these days…can’t wait to just pick up and move the camera to be able to record both parts.

Most recent ship update I saw: “scheduled to start shipping pre-ordered units in April. Units will apparently ship on a “first ordered/first shipped” basis”

Just wanted to put it out there that if any of you who are upgrading to Soloshot3 are looking to sell your Soloshot2, I’m interested in buying one. I like the product, but for various reasons would rather have a Sony camera than the Optic camera bundled with the Soloshot3 (too bad for me – the pre-order prices on the Soloshot3 are still reasonable!).

I’ve given u p on my soloshot2, every time I’ve tried to use it lately SOMETHING goes wrong. Last time it wouldn’t pair with my tag… Nfi what’s wrong with it. Ah well will just have to wait for my 3 before I can video my rides again.

Yeah, well they did that with the soloshot2. So, I’m expecting it again.

Brydie, mine kept doing that and just being a bloody nuisance, and they gave me a new one.

Hey I broke the port on my camera controller and emailed customer support. They don’t have any more for in stock so I asked when is the soloshot 3 due to be shipped and they said the end of “spring”. Last day to be June 19.

Unfortunately I’m so bummed I cancelled my order. When I finally got in touch with them by phone they said August. And not a guarantee of August either.

It should be worth the wait! But unless there’s a significant saving by pre ordering you may as well cancel and wait to see how they go when they finally are released.

I’ve only contacted them through the website contact thing. And they’ve always got back to me within a couple of days. That’s unusual that they wont acknowledge you.
