Soloshot3. Soloshot "Fully expects" shipping before end of MARCH 2017

I know I am not alone. What kind of joke of a company is this? I feel like my “pre-order” payment and everyone else’s was an interest free loan for this company to design, create and manufacture these cameras that were nowhere near ready to be put into production. They really should have gotten a conventional business loan to produce Soloshot3 instead of mooching off of customers. Or just came right out and asked us for loans, instead of masking our loans as “pre-orders”.

Even real GoFundMe start ups or GoFundMe products seem to get delivered. Not so with the Soloshot “gofundme”. Soloshot took our money, then have continued to make false promises about delivery of their product. They have continued to publish updates about needing to tweak some aspect of Soloshot3, or some other excuse as reason for delay. Their product should have been perfected BEFORE they started selling it.

I gave them my money Nov 30, 2015…over 10 months ago…so that we could video riding. At the time of my order, Soloshot told me it would ship Spring 2016. Several shipment delays since then. I hope if it Soloshot ever actually ships the Soloshot3, that the product holds up and delivers what they claim it will do.

Paid for one on 9/30. One year. Last update was two months ago (two months? Crazy!). I agree that it is ridiculous. I will never (NEVER) buy anything from them again.

Can you contact the card issuer you used to pay for them and see if they can help?

I was last told they are planning on posting in November, I pre ordered about a year ago but I’m not going to start worrying until November is here.
I know it’s a long wait but I’m hoping they 3 will be really good.

You must send a dispute letter within 60 days of the first statement to the address for billing inquiries. Then the creditor must do an investigation and resolve it within two billing cycles or 90 days, whichever comes first.

But if you used the US Mail for the transaction, I would contact thee Office of the Postal Inspector

You beat me to it! Thanks! That is correct. Soloshot is monopolizing the money of all of us who forked out our money to them in good faith more than 60 days ago. If they go belly up (I mean, seriously here…WHAT exactly is the problem with their product that it cannot be delivered on time? And keep trying to lure people in with “pre order discounts”, where we are funding their future product and getting nothing in return.), then what? Soloshot has really got all of us who had faith in them between a rock and a hard place.

Besides, I didn’t give them my money as a loan. I gave them
My money because I wanted to buy their product. Now I am not so sure about them. I think I read that we can get our money back if we want? But I don’t want my money back, I •think• I still want the Soloshot3, if it will actually be produced and will fart rainbows like they say it will.

Contact them. I’d be surprised if they didn’t issue you a refund. I preordered (before you) and later saw a bigger discount. I emailed asking what gives, and they gave me the difference.

I ordered last September. One thing I’ll say is that they are very good about returning emails. I’ve contacted them three times and each time, I get a response within 24 hours. My correspondences were not particularly friendly, and I asked them directly about their business model and if they ever expected to ship during the 2016 year. I felt that the responses I received were honest. They seemed to know they bit off more than they could chew with their overseas and ramped up production model.

I’m highly displeased, but I want the product. Their seemingly honest replies are a large part of why I haven’t just pulled out of the order. Supposedly, those of us who ordered in Sept 2015 will receive our units in the second half of October. We’ll see.

I very much would like a Soloshot, but waited to see if the product delivered what they said about indoor shooting. I am so glad I waited as it seems 3 won’t ever get to those of you who pre ordered.

That’s a bummer. I have a Soloshot 2, and I love it. I actually had an issue where my base unit wouldn’t charge or change modes, and when I emailed them about it, they got right back to me and sent me a shipping label so I could send them the base. Turns out it was broken and they sent me a new one, free of charge. I was really impressed by their customer service. Hopefully the production of the soloshot 3 is just delayed and the company isn’t having issues.

I do have to say that I’m rather displeased to have ordered a year ago and still not have the product, but that is pretty much what we signed up for when we “pre-order.” The whole point is that they don’t have a final product yet, but need the funds up front to pay for it. In essence, it is kind of a loan…

Real bummer on the shipping time for SS3, but the SS2 came out a little later than expected and I have been exceptionally pleased with the quality of the product and customer service supporting it so I had actually forgotten that it was a month or so later than expected.

Pixio offers an alternative if you’re really at your wit’s end with SoloShot. Get your refund from them and grab a Pixio (and review it, please!). I’m interested to see if their product is as good!

As someone else suggested, if you are that dissatisfied, you should contact them directly. If you don’t want the product at this point, then I’d be they will issue a refund. Their customer service folks are WONDERFUL.

It is frustrating, but they never promised a delivery date with the presale. I was also one of the early folks. However, given what they have shared (both public announcements, as well as conversations I’ve had personally with them), what will be shipped and the related software is going to be way more than what was originally advertised. I believe it will be worth the wait.

Of course, we’ll all be excited to share our experiences as soon as our SS3’s arrive. I wish I had more time…I’ve been betatesting the new software, but haven’t had as much time as I wanted to play with it and give more feedback recently.

Aaaaaaaand, it looks like things won’t ship until November. At the earliest.

I am dissatisfied because it’s been a almost a fareeking year and I want my SS3! Of course I am dissatisfied. From their latest joke of an update

“Pre-production scaling, quality management and Beta Testing will continue for the next few weeks.” also “Once complete, we will have a more precise shipping schedule and ramp rate for the late fall to share with you.”

They should have been honest with their “presale” that the had not even developed the darn product yet!!! This is no presale. This is more like, “Will you fork over some money (interest free) so we can do R&R on our product, so that you are then bound to purchase SS3, since we didn’t have enough money on our own to create the latest version???”

"As many of you have expressed interest in the process as much as our progress, we will send a special manufacturing update in a few weeks with an in-depth look at the design decisions & hurdles that caused some of the shipping delays, how we overcame them, and what’s left to do before shipping begins later this fall. " What a hoakey company. Very unprofessional!

I’m not going to count on it. Is that date from FB? At this point, if I may as well still receive their product, then if I don’t want it, sell it off for close to retail once they are released. If the SS3 actually works, that is.

I emailed them to express my displeasure. I heard back from a representative almost immediately (within 15 minutes). He offered to refund me $49 that I paid for a tripod.

I responded that I would rather not have a refund but to let me think about how I might be fairly satisfied (because I would have to go through the trouble of dividing and dispersing the refund…several of us pitched in to purchase one for my trainer). In the interim, I received two more emails from him wanting to know if I had made a decision or still required assistance.

So I wrote back and explained that I would prefer to have them throw in the indoor accessory that was advertised at $49 at the time I pre-purchased. He responded that no, that would not be possible. They would be glad to credit me $49 towards the current $89.10 price, though. Seriously??? So you want me to spend more money for an accessory than what I could’ve bought it for and still won’t have it at any guaranteed delivery date in the near future? Nope. So I wrote back and said that his offer did not satisfy me and that I would let him know if I thought of anything else.

Then he called me. And he probably shouldn’t have because his phone call was all about how they had so many unforeseen problems and how it just isn’t feasible, like he told me before, to offer me the indoor accessory and how they actually take a loss on that piece of equipment (so there’s more evidence of your company’s poor business aptitude). Basically he talked over me and told me how he was right and insinuated that I just didn’t understand how he couldn’t possibly do what I asked for. I had to end up telling him that we had nothing more to discuss…that I had told him what would appease me and he had told me no so that was that. Then he repeated a couple of times that he would follow up with me, kind of being pushy, I felt. I asked him then to just leave it alone. His phone call really rubbed me the wrong way.

Soloshot is digging themselves a deep hole, aren’t they? They just keep taking but are not giving customers anything in return. That customer service rep sounds like a real weener. He was whinning about how THEY are taking a loss? Seriously? Did you ask him when Soloshot3 will ship? Or did he not give an answer?

I saw on facebook how a few people posted something about them going bankrupt. This theory was shot down by soloshot. Someone posted something about something they purchased thru a kick starter had them waiting two years for delivery as a comparison. Soloshot is not a kicker starter start up company. They are supposed to be an established company. Something seriously is going wrong with this company and their ability to create and release new products. Soloshot3 last posted on their Twitter account February 24. Soloshotupdates last posted on their instagram 38 weeks ago.

When will soloshot3 be shipping? When will soloshot 3 ship? What is wrong with soloshot3? Is a question that everyone keeps asking on facebook. October update is just as vague as September, August, July and all the other updates. Delay after continued delay and lack of meaningful updates. How is it that they keep posting videos that they say are shot with soloshot3 if soloshot3 is not ready to be delivered? I would like to know what could be so drastically wrong with soloshot3 that they keep beta testing it, having delays, vague updates, and still no ship date.

I just found a post from a disgruntled customer on a random website dated Oct 19 saying now shipping is November or December:

It gets worse … now I read … no not an update as promised to email … but I have to search out on their Facebook site … shipping is now MAYBE November … maybe December …

I’ve been poking the fire with a few messages / comments on their facebook site … and there is NO denial of my presumptions !!

Lets look at it overall.

In 2015 - Soloshot announce Pre-Order availability of SS3 with delivery expected in Spring 2016. I pay for it with the Pre-Order discount late 2015… actually dated 24 Dec 2015, … confirmed order and reply stating delivery Spring 2016

I wait and hear nothing more. I contact them and no info - I give my Order number and then I receive a couple of spam emails thanking me for custom but still no info.

I logon to their Facebook page and find others similarly not so happy.

To each unhappy post - SS say ‘bear with us, we are having a few problems and will be shipping soon’ …

Its now mid October … months down the line … we only now get news on the Facebook page that TESTS on the camera are made … tests NOW … not before !

Delving through the garbage - they now say November / December for delivery.

Now this I find interesting … :

The Pre-Order discount was supposed to end in the early part of 2016 … but they STILL have a 10% Pre-Order discount running TODAY … long after it should have been delivered - long after the discount should have stopped … What does that tell you ?

It tells me Sales have not made expectation and probably the factory is not paid the amount needed up front for production.

When this is posted on their site - you would expect a denial … NOTHING … ZILCH … NADA … so what to think ? Do I have $525 invested in a ‘dream’ ?

I wonder if there are any other systems out there ?

I did not ask him point blank when it would ship. He said it is in beta testing right now. At that point I quipped, “So we still don’t have a shipping date, eh?” He replied that it would be unacceptable for them not to beta test and distribute products that might have a problem they don’t know about. Which doesn’t sound, to me, like they are close to shipping (but beta testing and such processes aren’t my area of expertise at all).

I message their PR person occasionally to get an update. A couple of weeks ago, she said that they were still beta-testing, and were planning to start shipping at the end of November (which seemed to overlap with the beta testing). That said, they’ve been beta-testing for a good 6 months. I have the distinct impression that they don’t keep their reps “in the loop” and that the reps really try to “stay on script”. It must absolutely suck to be a Soloshot 3 rep right now. A couple of months ago I told her that I doubt they’d ship anything in 2016 (she didn’t say anything).
