Special Report: At Home with "Normal" Moorlands Totilas
While I dont like Anthropomorphizing, think about how your body would feel if you stood in a 3’x3’ box 24/7 with only time out for forced/directed exercise…
Who is anthropomorphizing? Horses are herd/grazing animals that is a fact no emotion needed.

Many horses hate turn out when alone but when put out with a couple horses they are just fine. It is that silly herd thing,

ridgeback ,you are as obsessive in your one track tangential rant about turnout on every thread as are the shoeless, the bitless, the braless, the treeless, the vegans, the petas, etc etc.

I don’t doubt that Edward gal and the owners want the best for this amazing horse. What would be the advantage in mistreating this horse?

This horse Totilas after a few years at top sport will likely have a better retirement than your grandmother, complete with as much sex and turnout as he could ever wish for.

Sex? GASP!!!

Egoontoast it looks like you’re falling into the exaggerations that someone else is well known for. Yes turnout is my issue and no I did not bring it up. I also realize people get really angry about this topic because they know the truth and I would guess those that don’t turnout have some guilt associated with it so they get defensive and mean. You can be the bully with me I don’t care I find it funny. Again I’ve used draw reins will use draw reins again I have no probably with them in the right hands but you don’t often see dressage riders using them therefore I asked. You make me laugh:lol:

I am obsessive about turnout as you are obsessive about being a bully.

nice try complete with the forced lols. I feel sorry for you.

I’m sure “as much sex as he could ever wish for” will be limited to an inflatable doll - oops, I mean breeding phantom.

Doubtful the turnout situation will be any different though. He’s worth too much money to risk it.

rigshack-I can’t see how being so judgemental of others fits with your goals unless you have given up .

I’m sure “as much sex as he could ever wish for” will be limited to an inflatable doll - oops, I mean breeding phantom.

There’s no such thing as a bad orgasm.

Again putting your self interest over the interest of the horse.
If you ever have a GP horse that you shelled out a boatload of $$ for, or the one that has consistenly broken world records, we can chat. The horse gets out several times a day. Then again, I am the devil since I have no prob with correctly used drawreins or rollkur. Tally Ho!

Regardless how much money they are worth they would go outside. I would not spend money on a horse I could not afford to lose. Here in KY you have horses that their stud fee is $500,000 to $1,000,000.00 and have to cover their mares live so an injury could stop that for life yet they get turned out. I guess it is a different way of thinking. I’ve said several times in this thread no problem with drawreins…SIGH and said numerous times in several different threads until RK is shown to damage the horse I have no problem with it.

Egontoast pointing out facts has nothing to do with judging. If I was judging I would not be friends with people that do not turnout their horses and in fact I am. I will take my teachings from the Dalai Lama not you but I do appreciate your concern. Watch some of his talks on the Chinese invastion of Tibet I guess you would call him judgmental as well.

Who’s stud fee is 1million? Even Storm Cat at his peak was only 500k, and he was the most expensive.

Yes, once the racing TB stallions are RETIRED FROM COMPETITION, they are let down in condition and (eventually) put in large turnouts.

No one allows turnout for a TB that is still racing and fit.

No he was not the most expensive he was the most expensive advertised stud fee. Northern Dancer was a million and some others that were private were between storm cat and ND. Although I doubt you will ever see that again.

Oak that is why I was talking about the breeding stallions.

I will take my teachings from the Dalai Lama not you

harrumph! don’t trip over your ego on the way up the mountain:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks so much for the link, alicen! Now I know where to get those snazzy patent boots (or burgundy, dark green, nougat or blackberry) and matching spur straps.

As for the rest of this thread, :sleepy::sleepy::sleepy:

the first post in this thread is about draw reins. where’s the fruitbat?

frankly, I read the whole article and can’t get OVER how OLD Ringo Starr looks and those poor women with him trying to look 20 at 60+. None of them looks very happy. Is this typical of spectators at European Competition?

Ringo, bless his heart, has been married to this same woman, Barbara Bach, since about 1980.

If Ringo is old, could it be that I am old too??? Nah.

Not enough turnout, obviously.
