They have a skinny; not a very skinny skinny, but still a skinny.
McClain Ward is 5 seconds up on everybody. No one has come anywhere near his time so far. Even the fast ones with rails are not that fast.
Yeah! just made work so much better…must shut my office door
Seems like so many venues have live streaming these days, which is absolutely fantastic for those of us who like to watch and/or dream. One thing that has really helped me is using www.StreamHorseTV.com. They have a page with a calendar of events and links to the live streams. If you follow them on Twitter, you get tweets with updates. That way, even if there isn’t a COTH thread on the latest/greatest live stream, I can usually find something to watch.
Fantastic to be able to watch so much SJ!
Wow, it is great to see all these wonderful riders!
I will say it is eating up a lot of my day… WAY too tempting to sit here and watch “just one more”…“uh, one MORE…”
What is the music for their victory gallop? The one this afternoon sounded very Fledermausy to me. I know I know it; it sounds very 1890’s Austrian.
Can someone identify it for me?
They’ll be live streaming the international ring for the whole tournament, so that means tomorrow morning, afternoon and evening.
Was Rich Fellers actually riding Flexible in the victory gallop?? I thought he could not be trusted and Rich had to use another mount.
And then next week

I was trying to find an answer for Vineyridge and came across this very interesting almanach which explains SM, and lists all the winners, top earners, etc, up until 2012.

Entertaining … but I have not found the music for the victory gallop!! and I agree…I know it!
Found it… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYYTdtRrg8M

you are missing the Derby and richard Spooner just took a nasty fall. He is not hurt but, man, that was tough
Richard’s horse was certainly game to try, though, despite the rails. The first two horses both said ‘I do not think so, that does not appear wise’ at the top of the bank.
Will Simpson was a treat to watch…
I don’t remember a jump at the top of the bank before…scary!
Sneaking over from dressage land to comment…this is so fun, but terrifying to watch! These are some ballsy horses and riders.
Loved the look on the greys face when he jumped the jump the wrong way…def a “oh hell no” look!
Wow! Absolutely thrilling to watch. Sending a great big thank you to the venues that are providing live streams, and to sites like this BB and StreamHorseTV that are helping me find what to watch when it’s happening.
Darragh Kenny’s horse has a wonderful jumping technique with the hind end.
A jump off in the Derby?? wow… Q.Judge horse was amazing.
Viney, was that the music you were asking about?

The Nexen Derby doesn’t have a jump at the top of the bank, but the Cenovus Derby does. They are slightly different courses
ETA Jump offs are rare, but its even rarer to have to jump off two clean rounds! Only 19 in the history of the course now.
