Anyone know when the various stallion service auctions might start?
The American Hanoverian Society will start posting stallions for preview in the next week or so and the auction will be open for bidding for 1 month prior to it’s conclusion on February 12, 2012. Details and links will be posted on the AHS website at http://hanoverian.org when available.
The Canadian Hanoverian Association will also be hosting an auction this year which will run from February 3-19th. We will also begin loading stallions for preview in the coming few weeks. Specific information for that auction will be posted on http://www.canadianhanoverians.com/ when available.
Update
Both auctions are now up. The AHS auction is open for bidding until 2/12

The CHS is in preview mode until bidding opens on 2/3

The ATA’s SSA will start right the end of Jan/Beg of Feb and will end on 2/14 - watch the ATA site (www.americantrakehner.com) for exact time, link etc. I’m sure it will be posted here too when it is up and running. I do know there is a pretty cool line up of boys to choose from.
The Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society 2012 stallion service auction will run Jan. 16 through Jan. 30. We will start loading stallions to the auction website within the next week or so. Watch http://oldenburghorse.auctionanything.com/Home.taf for details.
Thanks!!!
I was just thinking about this this morning.

The 350+ champion stallions at www.shnpayback.org have been available since 1 September. All breeds. All eligible for prize money if shown. All stallions at 50% off. No pesky bidding and wondering how high the price will go. First come-first served. Closes the end of July.
I already purchased one of the SHN services

Congrats!
I think I’ve purchased 3 or 4 through the years:)
Chris, any hints as to who has been obtained for the auction? I was hoping that the stallions would be listed somewhere before the bidding opens on the 16th.
The Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America will be offering an auction of some of the breed’s top stallions beginning about February 17th, and ending on February 24th.
I will post details when they are ready.
The ISR/OLDNA Auction starts January 9th. Quite a long list already on the website.
Belgian warmblood stallion auction starts Jan 15th.

Can this be made a sticky like in years past?
Midwest Breeders Group is still accepting stallions for theirs. We’re later this season because we completely re-designed our website this fall/early winter and have been adding new components to the website such as member log-in, fully featured classifieds, etc, and we are hoping to add auction software directly to our website for this season’s auction, versus paying for the auctionanything website.
So stay tuned! And stallion owners, we’d love to include your boys in the auction, see our new website for details (link below)!
Do you have to be a member of the registry/organization in order to bid on a stallion?
