LOL my “2bayboys” actually refers to my two sons, who were my “baby boys” when COTH migrated to a new platform and I lost my old username. Although I did have a bay horse I was showing at the time. Right now I should be chestnutblack&gray but it doesn’t have the same ring to it.

No, it sure doesn’t… but your gray is awesome. Such a nice expression!

Thank you. I am feeling very fortunate right now with him. I asked the universe and she delivered.

Yeah, that would be a tongue twister. I guess you could just shorten it all to OneOfEach

That’s what DH said when this one came home. Are we just going for One of Each now?

An update on the #biggraybeast
He hasn’t jumped at all since his very first jump school a month ago, because February, but he tried some cantering over some bitty jumps yesterday and thought it was way fun. The rider is 16.

Still working on steering

I tend to go VERY slowly with my young horses, since I like them really really rideable on the flat with all the good buttons. This one will go on a field trip soon to see the sights at a horse show.

2dogs picks jaw up… :open_mouth:
He is a Grade A Rockstar! :star_struck:
Don’t let his height bother you.
I was all of 5’4" (I’ve shrunk 2") when I got my 17’3 WB.
Once you get used to the Long Way Down, the ride is fine.
Here he is, measuring my fencepost:

Pssst:
Better tell your husband 1 of Each could mean more than 3

I call it the Drop Off and when does one get used to it? I’m still looking for soft landing places and spots to put mine downhill

"Drop Off"
Maybe try thinking of yourself as a ponyjock on your 1st horse.

Did not help that my guy was a former GP Jumper & his canter depart was ShotFromAGun.
If I tried holding, his GoTo was Up :grimacing:
Got that fixed, but it made for some excitement, which - being in my 60s - was not needed.

Oh, I have been just like a little kid with their first pony with this guy!  :unicorn: :unicorn: I describe him as the Black Stallion, Black Beauty and Blaze the wonder pony all rolled into one.

Yeah, NOPE! Does not sound like fun! Glad it sounds like he’s settled a bit :flushed:

Sadly I lost him to an anaerobic infection in the hoof capsule in 2015 :sleepy:
But by then his depart was so soft it felt like I just thought Canter, & he did :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

He’s LOVELY! Solid bone. You’ve got a good one! And look, he’s covered with stars! Also, the patterns on his hind legs remind me of some kind of antelope.

Have you named him?
What is your Pointer’s name (because he has sort of dapples too).
Was your big grey born bay?
Born Bay Now Sterling Silver ?

I named him Stylish

The pointer is Reagan, my assistant trainer.
