Streaming the EQ Finals

I can’t find out if there will be an accessible live stream this year.

The NHS website is unhelpful. Their link to watch the Maclay finals is broken and the general link to watch the NHS takes me to the FEI TV section of CMH. FEI TV is covering the FEI jumping classes.

The NHS is not on USEF Network’s schedule of upcoming competitions.

Does anyone know if we can watch online this year? I’m not paying for FEI TV ever again. They caused me to miss three competitions that I joined to watch and their answer to my complaint about their malfunction was pretty much “oh well, too bad”. I doubt they are streaming the Maclay though.

I’ve exchanged emails with an official of the National Horse Show who wrote that The National Horse Show, in its entirety, will be streamed on CMH ,except for the FEI Jumpers which will be on FEI TV.

She believes that a CMH membership will not be required.

I tried to watch Medal Finals in real time, and I have a free USEF membership, but wasn’t abe to watch the stream. After hearing all the nightmare stories about trying to unsubscribe to CMH, I don’t want to give them my payment information! I’m very sad these prestigious finals are so difficult to access.

Normally, I understand issues of making things accessible in the horse world, but a free livestream or a one-off inexpensive payment would be nice.

Meanwhile, the Quarter Horse Congress has been live streaming 2 rings all day, every day, from September 26th through October 22nd. Guess USEF is going broke.

I don’t subscribe to CMH. I have a paid USEF membership which allows me to watch USEF content, live and replays, on CMH. CMH does not have my payment information.

You don’t have to subscribe to CMH, if you have a USEF membership that allows you to watch USEF content, just set up a log in with CMH, no payment info required.

If you contact USEF they will walk you through the process. :slightly_smiling_face:

I understand, but I was under the impression with a free USEF membership, I could watch the livestream, just not replays. I will check out the Quarter Horse Congress stream, @anotherera, thanks for the tip!

USEF is still streaming the Penn. National from Harrisburg, both rings. :slightly_smiling_face:

It was fun to watch COTHs own @SidesaddleRider take third in the over fences class!

You can watch the livestream - I was able to watch it via CMH with linking my USEF account. You might have an issue with your account, so I’d reach to USEF for help. I couldn’t open it in a large window but the feed from both rings worked fine for me on CMH!

That’s what I remember from last year (yes, the annoying small thumbnail).

Email from USEF says that the Maclay will be streamed on CMH but “would advise checking the streaming schedule closer to the event to see if it will be available on the USEF Network on CMH”.

Hmm. it seems odd that they don’t know what will be on their own Network. They were prompt in answering and very nice.

Apparently we’ll have to wait and see.

It better be on USEF Network… I can’t decide which would win, my principle of not subscribing to a service known to give bad service, or my principle that The First Sunday in November is for Watching the Maclay.

I think I’ll have to pass if it means subscribing to CMH. :frowning:

Yes, I remember last year a poster went through a nightmare unsubscribing–they kept charging her credit card, finally the credit card expired, and then they tried to pursue legal action when she refused to give them another!

The regular USEF network used to be so user-friendly and offered such great coverage of events.

There is still no mention of the Maclay finals, either on the USEF broadcast schedule or on the CMH website.

CMH is broadcasting the National Horse Show, which the Maclay is part of.

It’s literally on their broadcast schedule on the site:

Thanks @Tha_Ridge . I didn’t think to look at the FEI TV section.

It’s not. This is on the time schedule page for the National Horse Show. The only FEI.TV classes are the ones with that logo next to it.

So, it’s the schedule. I wonder why the Maclay doesn’t appear anywhere on the CMH site, where the live feed could be watched (the FEI classes are there.) Maybe they are waiting until the last minute?

What? I literally posted a screenshot from the CMH site, as evidenced by the formatting with the trademark purple background. By schedule, I meant broadcast schedule from CMH via the National Horse Show page on ClipMyHorse, as I said in my first post. I don’t know how much more explicit I can be, but you can also see it for yourself here: https://www.clipmyhorse.tv/en_US/events/11108/national-horse-show-i-longines-fei-jumping-world-cup-2023-2024-i-nal-lexington (Scroll to the very bottom.)
