Feel better DGRH. You have my sympathy - I’m finally over the flu (same flu that allowed me to catch up on this thread, only good thing about it!), but still have stupid cough and congestion.
By the way, a local church has put out some Easter billboards, including one that I pass on the way to the barn, that I think would leave Ted ready to convert.

Jasper’s Mom - what a GREAT billboard!!
Actually Ted is already converted. His mom works at a Jesuit school so he’s used to seeing her on Good Friday. And that means he gets a stocking on his stall at Christmas time and an Easter basket of peeps.
I don’t make him go to confession though. I can see it now though:
“Dear Father, Forgive me for I have sinned. Well, maybe I sinned. No, maybe I didn’t. I bit my pasture buddy Bow on the butt and then tried to steal his hay. But he bit me first, and tried to steal my hay, so I don’t think that should count. Anyway we like to hang together, so it should only count if I was biting someone over the fence who couldn’t bite back, right? Ummm…what else. I did not want to come in for dinner and made the barn people wait because Bow and I were too busy playing. But anyway, I think they get paid, so they’re just earning their money, right? Um…hmmm…I was pretty good with my mom last night. I wanted to play, and she didn’t, so I only bugged her about it a few times. So really, I think, no Hail Marys, instead I should get peeps.”

I tried to figure out how to do the little color but that was beyond me. The confessional was pretty easy though.

Oh yes, Jasper’s confession would be very much the same, although I have not yet tried peeps with him. He is picky, but a big fan of all things carrot flavored. Not a sugar or apple ho, though, so I don’t know if the peeps will be a hit. My other horse will no doubt love them - he’ll eat anything that doesn’t try to eat him first (he’s 1/2 Connemara, I guess it’s a pony thing).
