It’s very hard to get those vertical lines to line up… I think one of the intriguing things about stick art is that we’re doing it on forum software that really wasn’t designed to support the making of art. I thinks It’s cool that we can draw here at all. :smiley:

I wonder if anyone makes forum software that supports a more advanced drawing function?

Ummm- FU?? Why would a person geld a bull? I mean, we ride our horses, and nuetered dogs are pets, ditto cats - but a bull??? So the steer is a pet? Not for meat???

I know they want the steer for meat is is the only bovine they have but they don’t want the raging hormones and aggression while he grows big enough to be food… at least that is why my friends had their steer fixed… I don’t know about others though…

Sorry DQ…people might keep a cow around to milk or be a pet, but bull calves are pretty much for the freezer (especially since artificial insemination). Bulls are pretty aggressive, dairy breeds even more so, so they are castrated pretty young. Farmers will often raise one or two steers for their own use…even if they are not in the cattle business, because they are cheap to raise if you have pasture.
Horse people that I used to know who did this always named their steer
‘Stew’.
