Whereupon the Writer admits she has no life. whatsoever. RR in answer to your inquiry- I came upon COTH shortly after Willem died and before the eventing hysteria began. So I relentlessly read all of Willem’s threads, then proceeded to the 700$ pony, then to Nevermind, then to stick art. It was like a part time job. Cramming for finals. SAT’s. It took determination, a considerable amount of fortitude, and lots and lots of coffee. About a week, week and a half before I really “understood”. (there were some other side threads that needed tending to as well) Now I can catch up like a normal person and leave. I “know” AMWrider from another forum, so as my eyesight started to fade, my blood pressure rise-- I emailed her in desperation for advice- she said “stick to the off-course or you’ll go mental” well not exactly THOSE words, but you get the drift. All I can say is thanks for the earworms,peeps and the reading glasses. I think they make me look smarter. The Depends undergarments from endurance sessions with caffeine and laptop- not so much. Im a pleasing blend that screams Nerd/Not Housebroken.

WOW. An award. Even a stolen one feels good. Who says those tawdry ribbons dont mean anything??? On a side note, my basement and garage are currently flooding. Its raining hard. Like 30 days and 30 nights hard. Hurricane Katrina in my driveway, and I continue to read. So sad.
Please send some of that rain here. We’re in a major drought and under mandatory water rationing. Please, please, please don’t let California have a fire season like last summer.
