As my horse plants his butt does some fancy footwork not quite a mini rear but thinking about it… jumps up with all 4 legs laterally and thinks for minute about bolting… (he really is a good boy deep down) and me thanking the deity above that the seat of the saddle is still a bit sticky and holding me in and praying that if I do fall off it is somewhere soft.

Not wanting to be bested by the deadly log… we turned back around (this took a lot of courage by me… in a back field alone …and being a weenie myself deep down but not wanting him to think that spooking gets him out of his hack. ) We did a lovely shoulder in… or is it out??? Hell whichever way that had his shoulder facing the log but his head and the rest of him bent looking at his happy place out in the field… It felt like he was trotting on his tiptoes. He was tense but not spooky.
