Hey MLC…

Sorry, I did not take the big M.
I took 5 little m’s.
I needed smaller denominations!

I love QH’s cuz they DO make your butt look smaller as shown in this authentic rear view depiction of me on my QH

I thought you deposited that “M” in the butt bank

No, I only deposited half of my assets. The picture shows what’s left over. Besides, wouldn’t I look funny if I had no butt?

Okay people…

where are we this weekend?
Perhaps enjoying our equines?
Another bump to page one.

At the clinic I offered that I would pay for the surgery to transplant my butt onto the butt of my trainer’s soon to be 9 yr old grand daughter. Can you believe she said NO??? What’s up with THAT???

Maybe they are…

just overly cautious about the risk of BTR ( butt transplant rejection) in a minor?

Dealing with a drama llama in this weeks episode of “As the barn turns…”

eqsiu…

need details please on the drama llama.

I am working all weekend (as usual) but hoping to try to post a continuation soon. (sorry)

Paris won’t get her shoe on until the middle of this week. And I haven’t ridden in over two weeks.:sigh: But other than that, I’m ok.

Ready for the dissertation? :winkgrin::lol:

On June 22nd one of my fellow boarders noticed her horse doing something funny with his hind leg so she called the vet. They came out, gave him some shots, and told her to take him to the equine vet an hour away. I graciously took a day off work and trailered her horse 60 miles to the vet. The vet found nothing, but conjectured that based on her description of the funky stuff maybe the horse had bruised his stifle. We joked about how he must have been sore from kinky sex with my filly because the BO saw him screwing her when she was in heat (he’s an old gelding).

Fast forward to July 9th (I know the dates because she was wonderful enough to give me a detailed report on her horse’s health status). The BO is building a house for his son in one of the pastures. One of the construction workers saw my horse kick her horse. Her horse then fell down. I don’t know if he slipped in the mud or if she knocked him down, but the fellow boarder told me my horse kicked her horse and knocked him unconcious. Now, given that he was trying to mount her at the time, I don’t blame her. However, you’ll be pleased to know that her horse mounting mine is not a problem because my horse, as she’s coming into heat, starts winking and peeing and such (but not fully receptive to male attentions yet) and lures this damn gelding in until he’s close and then kicks him. It’s obviously her fault he’s been mounting her because she’s acting like a slut. Anyway, the horse was apparently fine and is still apparently fine except for the funky stuff that she called the vet about in June. However, she has decided that even though the vet found nothing wrong, he mentioned a bruised stifle so now her horse has severe bone bruises and is soooo lucky that my horse didn’t break his leg when she kicked him (because she must have, how else would be have bruised his stifle in a pasture of 5 horses when there has been no diagnosis of anything wrong?).

So, on July 11th she asked me if I cared if my horse got moved from that pasture into the other one because since she was seen kicking the damn gelding the fellow boarder was uncomfortable with them being out together. I said yeah, no problem. Because really, I don’t care who my horse goes out with and that way she wouldn’t be risking uterine infection from kinky gelded sex.

Well, we all supply our own feed, and because I have different hay then the girl who owns the 3 horses in the other pasture, the barn owner instead moved my horse and my friend’s pony into an empty paddock. This has created several problem in and of itself. The 3 horses now have no acces to their stalls (or any shelter other than trees) and the girl who owns them is having to feed them in pans in the pasture. Another gelding that had been out with my filly is a bit attached to her and spent the first 36 hours calling to her several times an hour so the fellow boarder made the decision to move him with my filly and my friend’s pony. Which means there are currently 3 horses in a 1/4 acre paddock. The girl who owns the 3 horses that now have no access to their stalls is irritated because she is having to accomodate this fellow boarder (direct quote). The girl who owns the attached gelding is irritated for one of two reasons (based on who you ask). She’s either pissed because the fellow boarder, by moving the horse, has reinforced his attachment to my filly, or she’s pissed because she fears for her horse’s safety. Now, given that she didn’t have her horse moved back, I am guessing that account #1 is correct, especially since account #2 was delivered over the phone by a ranting and raving fellow boarder. My friend was irritated because her fat air fern was placed on a paddock with lots of nice clover. I’m irritated because fellow boarder is telling everyone that my filly nearly broke her horse’s leg, caused her a $600 vet bill, and has been kicking the shit out of every horse in sight and clearly can’t be around any of the horses. The BO is irritated because his place is set up for two herds, not three.

She informed me that no one wants me or my horse there, and everyone is pissed at me because they are having to accomodate me because I won’t step up to the plate and admit that my horse is a menace to society. Also, things around there go by seniority and since she’s been boarding there longer my filly has to go. Oh, and if I ever went out to see my horse I would already know this. I have been able to get out there only 4-5 times a week and sometimes, if my friend fed her for me, it’s only to say hi and feed some treats. I guess I’m a horrible person because I work two jobs, have 3 horses boarded at three different places, and a disabled mom at home. I guess I should have time to go out to the barn several times a day like the fellow boarder.

I have found out from talking to the others that this fellow boarder moving the attached gelding is not the first time she has just made a decision about where the horses are going to go without the BOs permission. Why the BO puts up with this I don’t know. Well, actually I do. He hates conflict and is willing to go with the flow to shut her up. He in fact told me that he knows this is all bullshit but when she comes crying to him about $600 vet bills he has to do something. Well, turns out the girl who owns the 3 horses that now have no access to their stalls was under the impression that my filly was aggressively kicking the shit out of everyone. No. She’s been kicking (or has been seen kicking once) this gelding because he keeps trying to mount her. Which in and of itself is a perfectly good reason to separate them, but this fellow boarder has gone way above and beyond the call of a concerned horsey parent.

Now, you might ask why I don;t just switch out my filly with one of my other horses. Well, I put my filly in this place because it’s where I wanted her long term and the other two are for sale. So if I can’t keep her there it makes more sense for me to move her because the place when my gelding is (fellow boarder wouldn’t hear of me moving my other filly in; what is she’s a prick tease too?) has a death trap fence ( my filly is severely injury prone), no riding facilities (he’s an unbroke baby, so not necessary but I actually ride her) and it in general makes no sense given my long term plans for the various horses. Plus I decided I would rather move than accomodate the fears of an irrational b*^&h. Passive aggressive I know.

Anyway. The best part is this could all have been avoided because when I talked to the girl who owns the 3 horses that no longer have access to their stalls and explained that #1-Angel (I should have know that naming her Angel would cause no end of trouble!) was only kicking fellow boarder’s horse when he tried to mount her and #2-that I was more than willing to feed her horses for her when she worked double shifts since Angel has to be fed anyway and #3-I could just buy the same hay as her (this is actually to appease the BO because the girl didn’t care that my horse is getting cheap stemmy fescue and her horses get cheap stemmy timothy and oh no they might not eat only their own hay) she is willing to put my filly with her horses. The previous four paragraphs could have been avoided if the BO had talked to us both instead of making a decision based on the fact that we have different hay!

The only snag in this plan is that the girl whose horses no longer have access to their stalls will now owe the other 4 boarders $4.50 because her horses will be finishing a round bale that they went in on with me (because our horses were all together). I nearly shouted at him that I would pay the F-ing $4.50 to each of them if that was such a big problem! Oh, and apparently my horse ate 1/5 of 40 nasty bales of hay that were left over from the others last year so the fellow boarder is demanding that I pay her back for my horse ating hay she bought. Guess how much I owe her- Really, you’ll never guess. Four dollars and fifty cents. She made a special call to the BO to make sure he told me that she expected me to pay for that hay. To the tune of $4.50.

But the icing on my petty and vindictive glee: at the end of the phone call where she ranted and raved, I told her that I know knew why everyone at her former barn were so thrilled to see her go (and they were, no on could stand her because she acted like an entitled drama llama there too). She hung up on me. I’m sure she’ll bring up my paying her horse’s vet bills again. Oh well. I will merely repeat that the vet found nothing wrong and kicks are a risk you take when you turn your horse out with others.

sigh

Wow. That was cathartic.

I do think I should add that if the gelding is going to continue to mount my filly my filly is going to continue to kick him and that is, in fact, a problem. I agree with the fellow boarder on that. But it’s a problem with a relatively simple solution that does not require an entire episode of “As the barn turns…”

Wow. That was cathartic.

I bet it was!

I was sick allll weekend (still hacking up lungs today). Just didn’t have the energy to get up to the computer room. Blech :dead: I hate being sick.

YOU GOT MY STRANGLES!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Ugggg sorry I gave you a computer virus…:o:uhoh::lol::lol::lol::lol:

She’s doing better. And she’s happier knowing she might sue the guy who caused the accident (he was stopped at a stop sign, she had the right of way, but he pulled out 1 or 2 car lengths in front of her, and she didn’t have time to stop:no:) Good news is, she’s got a new car now! My mom just got a new Jeep and is giving her old one to my sis. Bad news is she won’t be driving it soon…no matter how many times she begs.

BTW, what are “Naughty Monkeys?” Sounds very… interesting:lol:

They can’t be that interesting if they have been mentioned to one of your tender years.

Yup, human strangles. - Started as seriously draining sinuses Friday with a constant cough. Lost my voice at 2. By the time I got home at 5, had a 101 temp. Begged hubby to shoot me on Saturday. Sorta better yesterday…still dragging today and headed to the doc at 1 for antibiotics for the lovely green lung goop.

:sigh: Haven’t seen my horses in 4 days… Bless my DH’s heart, though. He’s taken very good care of them for me and even was out in the 90 degree heat this morning to offload the shavings. I loff him.
