Well I have to say I LOFF my horse… and I LOFF my barn… AND I LOFF my trainer. :yes::lol:
Why you may ask??? Well I’ll tell you… after a loffly lesson in which my horse has discovered YES he can bend around my leg… and YES he can go allllllll the way out into the corners and not cut them and YES he CAN do a flying lead change (Which I finally am learning to ask for) the massage therapist was out at the barn to do a few horses and I asked him to look at my guy to see if he needed it. Well he did and he was impressed… He said that the horse is the happiest he has seen him in a long time (he did him at his old barn as well) He was impressed with how loose he was, he only had a few slightly sore spots in the “normal” spots for a horse in work but overall really didn’t need to be done. HOOORAY!!!:yes:
This was a horse that at previous barn required Chiro every month and massage every month or else he was just “off” and cranky. He hasn’t seen a Chiro since Feb. and the last time massage was done was May when he got his pre back to work spa day. Massage therapist asked what we changed and I said "Well pretty much everything… feed, farrier, training, saddle, training(just needed mentioning twice:winkgrin:) turnout, training. again…
He told me to keep it up and that he was really amazed at how much happier my guy is now and what a good thing it was that I got him out. :yes: That made me feel good and bad at the same time… good because now that I am able to make the decisions for myself that my choices have made my boy happier, and bad because I made him suffer at the hands of ex-trainer for so long. :no:
Of course Harry could care less about all that because the whole time we are talking he is giving the massage therapist goo goo eyes… and making the camel nose at him… begging for more… he really is quite pitiful… soooo pitiful that the therapist squeezed him in for a mini-tune up… put on his finger pads and walked to the back corner of his stall… he gave Harry one little cluck and that horse immediately forgot about me and PLANTED himself in front of therapist leaning in making faces… he even held his leg out for him sideways so he could massage his butt and thigh muscles… can we say S.P.O.I.L.E.D:rolleyes:

I have been busy for the last few days - my #1 daughter is heading off to college tomorrow (Hollins!) so I’ve been getting ready to take that 11 hour (each way) road trip while I’ve been coordinating stuff for the new beastie.
I’m going to be on the road Wednesday through Saturday, but I will check in at night at least. I am honored that you want to save #1,000 for me. I certainly do not deserve the credit for making this such a fun thread! My part was very small

There’s actually an easy fix if she misses. Kind hearted people who posted prior to her just need to delete their post. Then she backs up. RNB discovered this rather neat trick at some point early in the game when there was a bit of a battle for some number or another (1000? 2000? Who can remember that far back??? 
).
