Hang in there. Sending healing vibes your beasties and hugs to you from Colorado.

He is 14
Not so elderly then! That’s a help.
Jingling for you and yours. Please know you have the power of the COTH with you.
You guys are seriously the best!! I was worried about Sweetie freaking out that he was gone, she could not care less! She was just like hey you got the food? All right, go on then. Lols
Bless her heart, she must be enjoying her food very much. Well done you , to do that for her.
She has a stall full of hay, feed pan full of warm pellet mash, and a field full of grass to keep her busy lol. The one easy part of today thank goodness.
I am so sorry to hear about your pony. You definitely didn’t need more worry and stress. Jingles and prayers for all three of you.
It never ends. Plus side, I recorded the new Yellowstone so I can ff thru the commercials now!
Good idea to get your mind diverted for a bit! [[[Hugs]]]
Hugs n cheers!!
What a stressful weekend. Thinking of you all and sending best wishes.
Omg how stressful with your pony. Jingling for him
Not cool move, pony!! Jingles for all two and four leggeds at your house!
Thank you I have not heard from the vet so I’m racing out right now there this morning before work to check on him I just want to put eyes on him again before I have to work all day
I hope no news is good news and that they both settle down and spend the winter just eating and pooping and being cute and loving to you
He had one pile and had not laid back down. I cried so many happy tears!
Glad the pony is on the mend! It’s been almost 6 weeks since one of mine had colic surgery. Seeing piles of poop is the best thing!!! Big sigh of relief. Sounds like you caught it early enough so it didn’t progress. I swear all the horses do that. Oh Gio’s getting all the attention so Teddy ends up with major colic so he can be the center of attention. My old guy likes to pull a quarterly gas colic just to get some attention too! Hope for some continued improvement with miss sweetie.
They can be so petty n jealous lol!!! I am cautiously optimistic. I want him to poop like 4 or 5x on his own so I know everything is making its way thru. I would LOVE to put red or purple or black food dye in his feed like in a soaked pellet situation, and then see how long it takes to make its way out just to have a baseline for him lol.
That’s encouraging news about the pony.
I asked my vet once about putting dye in feed to know when it’s gone all the way through the system. He looked at me with astonishment and said, “that’s a great idea!” And I thought, surely I am not the first to think this…
