Sorry. I don’t know that one.
This one, maybe?

Has foals up to 2012 in PQ…
Or this one?

I’ve seen Friend or Foe in person, and yearling offspring of his. Very balanced. Not huge, but not small either. I liked him overall.
Just checked out video Copy Cat Creek - the Yellow Creek son. Wow… That’s a NICE young horse. I’ll be very curious to see what he does. Love the pedigree too.
Did some one mention Sea Lion (JC name Sea Elephant)? He’s also Trak approved.
I’m really liking everything I see by Friend or Foe; I’m swayed because I also hold an interest in racing and they have exceeded expectations. I think he would be a good candidate to consider.
Innkeeper passed away at 30 years old in February. The MARE Center might have frozen semen for him, because they have continued to advertise him even after he was retired from breeding. I had the privilege of meeting him in person on several occasions and he was a neat horse. At one point, he was used for beginner lessons, so he definitely has the temperament you are seeking. My only pause is that he was a BIG boy-- not just in height, but also thick and substantial. You may get a HEAVY horse when crossed with a QH, which may be what you are seeking.
I personally don’t care for Friend or Foe after seeing him jumping in person. Great brain, but just not the jump that I personally look for. Maybe as an event horse, but I wouldn’t consider him for an upper level jumper or show hunter. But, I haven’t seen any of his offspring.
I saw a couple for sale recently by Well Said, who stands in WV that seemed nice.
We had a Coconut Grove colt that maybe wasn’t the fanciest mover, but was an exceptional jumper, if you’d consider frozen (if he is still available frozen?).
Does Colleen Rutledge stand her stallion? I haven’t seen him go in person though.
Goldmaker is actually a better jumper (or more my taste) than many of the other TB stallions I see standing, although he isn’t particularly a hunter-y mover. The color potential might be appealing for AQHA too?
Never seen him in person but I’ve heard nice things about Don’s Folly and I believe he is standing for sport mares as well. https://www.facebook.com/donsfolly/
Friend who is more “in the know” about Appendix breeding says to look and see if Nonnegotiable is still standing by any chance. Guess he had quite a few appendix AQHA babies that she loved but she isn’t sure how old he would be.
Edit: Found him on FB. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f…type=3&theater
Also says this one is a good cross for QH mares. http://scsporthorses.wixsite.com/scs…f-moon-romance There is a video of him free jumping on youtube and he looks like a hunter type.
Also found this one: https://thunderspiritranch.com/magoo-s-magic Seems to be used mostly for racing but if you scroll to the bottom there is a son of his at the TB Makeover who looks to be a very nice mover.
Thank you all for the ideas.
Good grief some of these guys are hard to find footage on. I’ve requested info on some. Non Negotiable is gorgeous in photos. Just need to see him move. Really like Dons Folly’s canter. He has the flat knee that I need (can’t stand a kneesy mover), but no trot footage.
Some just don’t have the eye appeal or appear more suited for jumping or eventing.
On the topic of color, as a cremello was suggested above. Personally, I’m of the opinion that a good horse is never a bad color. Sadly, not many buyers (and occasional judges) will agree. The dilute colors have just not done as well in the past as traditional colors. I don’t care what color a horse is, but unfortunately being in the business of breeding and selling, I have to try to cater to the color desires; which are gray, brown, black, and bay. I would take a chance on an outstanding dilute stallion, but unfortunately I cannot do a double dilute.
Thanks again and if y’all think of more, send them my way!
Dug up some video of Don’s Folly at the trot from a few years ago. He might not have the trot you need, but he is older and looks a bit off behind so it may not be fair to him to evaluate completely on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbylVAXOyuE
Haven’t found any video yet of Nonnegotiable but did find a filly by him that is a nice hunter type mover, for what that’s worth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfmC4_649eo
Totally fair about the cremello. I wasn’t sure. I’m not familiar with the AQHA scene and I see a lot of colored QHs so I just assumed maybe it was desirable. But, the only QHs I really come across are reining and cutting horses, so I understand that might be totally different.
Oh, just saw something pop up on my facebook about this one, who I think looks very appealing. 2018 will be the first year that he is standing to sport horses. This is one I’ll definitely keep my eye on. He’s big, 16.3, and grey, and looks like a nice mover and well behaved for the jog videos.

Look at his main site and there is some video of him trotting and cantering (if your patient enough to get past the slow mo stuff in the beginning)

If you can go frozen, a more “out there” suggestion might be something like Power Blade xx? He’s obviously not been used regularly for Hunters, but he is a a pretty flat kneed mover himself. He stands in Ireland.
Check out Mystic Replica. He has a Facebook page and looks to be marketed towards eventing but I’ve seen several of his offspring competing successfully in the adult and A/O hunters in zone 3. The 3 I’ve seen look to be quiet, have the jump, and are also flat huntery movers and usually get a good hack ribbon (one of them is the winner). He is the sire of 2 of the 3 TBs in this article: http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/thoroughbred-blood-runs-strong-pennsylvania-national-horse-show
INNKEEPER! He will not be around much longer. take advantage of the opportunity.
I will second a son of spectacular bid for great temperament. really well made horses with athletic ability and temperament for every level
contact the Chapot’s and see if they have any frozen on the Gem Twist clone(s). They have quite a few offspring from him here in the states so I’d imagine they have a bank of semen on him prior to sending him to Europe for breeding. Not sure how they move but they can jump!
^ Gemini frozen semen is now available to US breeders via Superior Equine Sires. Gem Twist had a reputation for being spooky/quirky. Not sure that’s good for hunter breeding.
This may not be helpful to the OP, since I don’t think this stallion is proven for performance, but there is a Spectacular Bid son in Ohio named Favorite Bid who I just think would be lovely for appendix crosses. While he is no longer standing at this farm, there is contact information to reach his new owner included on his page:
This is the one I linked above! I think he looks lovely and he is a very nice mover in the video on the new farm’s site. Apparently this is his first year standing for sport horse mares, but I’m excited to see what he produces.
Oh! The Dreamhorse link didn’t work for me and I didn’t click on the farm’s link or else I would have realized!
I’ve met him in person a few times. His temperament is great on the ground, not sure if he’s been ridden since race training days. He is very refined, but in a good way. Sort of like one of those old, classic, thoroughbred race horse or fox hunter paintings. He left a huge impression on me as a horse who would be amazing for outcrossing.
The DH link isn’t working for me now either. Weird.
Nice to hear from someone who has seen him in person!
Curious to see if Favorite Bid might have a show career ahead of him. I have a horse in training in Ohio, and I’m headed to a show in a few weeks. Wonder if I can manage the time to swing by and see him. Looks super athletic.
