The current sale is VERY tempting. I’ve never seen them in person so am a little hesitant to order. If you love them or hate them, pleas share your thoughts. What is the fabric like? Do they run true to size? How durable are they?
I love TRs! They are the only breeches I ride in anymore (though I don’t show).
I have several pairs (some in fun colors for schooling!) that are at least 4 years old. They are still in great shape! I have some that are the extended knee patch, the rest are full seats in the synthetic stuff.
I love that they have petite length (I’m not so tall), choice of rise, and they have awesome sales.
I love them, too! They’re pretty much impossible to kill. The tights, anyway–I haven’t tried any of their breeches yet. I do find they run a little big and long. And the regular rise is really high. My favorite winter pair are my Elements with a deerskin full seat. The Prixtecs are my favorites for hot weather.
That was my next question LOL. All the different models are confusing me!
I saw a pair of used TR elements at my local tack shop and they seemed to run really small compared to the other non winter models. Can anyone else confirm that? I’m just wondering if I should order up a size in the winter breeches.
The Elements are slightly smaller than the other models but run true to size, IMO. So I order my normal size Elements but size down in other models. The Toasties run much bigger and are almost as warm although not windproof.
I ordered a pair of extended patch, and they gave me such a wicked case of camel toe they went up on ebay and I never wore them out in public. It was BAD!
The waist band is made from cheap elastic so it gathers like old lady expandable jeans.
I don’t understand why people like them?!

ROFL.
I find even the lightweight ones do have camel toe tendencies, but they are so nice and breathable I put up with it. That said, my horse is at home so I don’t have to go out in public in them…
I have one pair (??) for show and do like them quite a lot. No camel toe and they have held up nicely – a little wear behind the knees but that happens with all or most breeches for me. They are a size 32S which is about what I take in most brands. I love that they make short sizes!
I’m with Petstore… I don’t understand the TR love. They’re like leggings with droopy seats. Some of the fabric is weirdly shiny and some is thin cotton blend. And the rise on both the tights and the zipper breech is so dang high–they remind of me photos of my mom in her 1970s jeans. NOT flattering!
Of course, I don’t like the FITS or the Irideons either. I think tights are generally a bad idea for adults.
I’ve also had problems with camel toe on them - I think it is like saddle types - either it works for you or it doesn’t! They didn’t work for me at all. The ones I tried also were quite small - and if I went up a size, they were baggy WITH camel toe (how does that even happen)? I DO love Equissentials, especially the French Terry material. But they don’t ever go on sale
I have a friend who swears by TR though - so again, it all depends on how they fit YOUR body type.
Adore, adore, adore! My favorites!
Toasties Light for winter, so comfy I could sleep in them. Enduracools for the rest of the year. I found they fit well & and are sized accurately. They have great customer service, too!
Not a fan…I bought them (enduracool ) 5 years ago, so perhaps the fabrics have changed, but I ended up throwing out both pairs after only three yeas. The fabric became worn and “shiny”, the deerksin leather seat became diaper like baggy…however they were comfortable to ride in and the prices were reasonable. Also had to be hand washed a PITA. If I ever tried another pair, I would buy the more expensive Schoeller fabric and suede seat not deerskin.
Love my TR. Only thing I wear to school in (the tights version). Have one pair of non-tights that are really nice, run true to size. Toasties are GREAT!!! Thinking I may get their show version when I next need to buy white breeches.
What is “camel toe” ?
I love my TRs. They are so reasonably priced, so customizable, and comfortable! I have many pairs. I do find that they are a bit more revealing than other breeches, in part because the fabric is so comfortable/stretchy they tend to follow your contours. They are comparable to the FITS dotted breeches but about half the price. I buy the extended patch enduracools or toasties lights – I do wish their descriptions of lites, elements and original toasties was a bit more definitive, but I have never been unhappy with what I’ve ordered from them. LOVE.

You might be sorry you asked! It’s a wedgie in your vajayjay.

(I told you that you might be sorry you asked!)
Are there any codes for free shipping that I’m missing out on?
I’m going to order a pair of winter pull-ons and give them a try. My horses are at home, so even if they don’t fit well, but are comfy, I’ll just wear them on a day that I ride alone
I’m assuming the sale you’re referring to is on the actual website, not through a vendor?
I have one pair of the Toasties… They are comfortable and warm, but despite ordering “longs”, the leg patch ends an inch or so under my knees and do not make it all the way to my boots (extended patch). The other issue would be for pull ons, you would expect some sort of drawstring or something, but it’s just loose elastic.
Great materials and such, but I don’t think I would order again.
What’s the sale!? I want another pair of toasties!
