Doing a Google search about Buckpasser and came across this thread. Camille, my Buckpasser granddaughter by Prize Ring is 19 this year, and in foal to Axel Verlooy’s young stallion Nixon van’t Muelenhof. Her fifth foal (she’s had 3 by As Di Villagana and one by Emerald). But I’m actually doing a project, looking for photos of Buckpasser suitable for framing. Any ideas? There aren’t too many on the internet…I’m thinking I might have to ask the Jockey Club for help.
I don’t think the Jockey Club will release photos, but The Bloodhorse might be a good resource. Or the farm that stood him. Have you asked Claiborne? Or Barbara Livingston, perhaps?
Here is a conformation photo: https://www.eleganthorsepictures.com/champions-buckpasser-conformation.html
Your best bet is a copy of the famous portrait by Richard Stone Reeves, which seemed to have been modeled from this photograph at the National Racing Hall of Fame: https://www.racingmuseum.org/hall-of-fame/buckpasser
Do a Google search for Buckpasser photo buy. Several came up.
I’ve often looked on TB Heritage for photos - I had a grandma mare who looked identical to Scapa Flow, even down to the white fetlock markings.
Buckpasser and Turn-To often appear together - all appear to have jump to pass on, and on and on, even though they are fairly far back now. Indeed the modern jumper types escape me because I have not followed up these days.
Never a bad thing anyway.
