I own one

Boy Miranda (2002) Stage Colony x Requited
Hey! Good to see you on here! How’s the boy doing? Tawn sent me a short video of you two jumping a course a few months ago and he looked great!
I still miss him a lot and hope you guys are doing well!

A few more that I have owned:

Sky Wars---one of the few offspring of steeplechaser Gran Kan

Dry Check Mark---a mare that I traded to someone in the Midwest who wanted a broodmare (Through a Coth ad!)

Hi Calamber,
Thanks for yourkind words about Sweetener & baby. Yes, the foal is by my Welsh pony stallion! She was born June 19th. I named her Crystal Acres Lucky Star(AKA Lucy) because of her dam’s hard luck story. Lucky for her, a wonderful volunteer from CANTER cared enough to save her. Lucky for me…I am lucky enough to have adopted her.

Maybe too late to add but I own Sortaleggy, by Sort. Never raced but has JC papers.

I worked for a vet at Belmont and Hialeah 1984-1986 Here are a few horses I really liked that we either did rountine vet work or surgery on. They are all probably gone now but wonder if anyone has any offspring of any of them and what they are like.
Rocamador II (irishbred raced in Canada and Us)
Late Act (stage door johnny x ? owned by Green Tree Stud
Counterfeit Money
Cool
What Mommy
Fight Over
Lana Lobell Pavlova (Standard bred 3yo in 1984 became brood mare from injury gorgeous looking!)
Rossi Gold
Many others whose names I can’t recall
For JimNYC I also remember Mugatea and Slew City Slew

These are the horses that I have owned/ worked with

Big Swiss (Swiss Trick x Bigger Place)— This is my JR hunter and would LOVE to know about his upbringing and about his parents.

Talking Girl (Affirmed x Secretaire by Secretariat)— My dad just bought this mare in December, and she is currently bred to Go For Gin. Any info would be awesome

Easy Greasy
Valid Lil
Circustown Cat

Guys, Slew City Slew is standing at stud in Kentucky for 6 grand a pop and is considered the absolute best value out there for breed to race. He’s got a very enviable record and can be found in both the TB Times stallion register and the BloodHorse Stallion register.

If this has already been posted, I’m sorry to repeat.

Updated the list. We have 1,087 entries right now!

Couple more to add:

Driving Miss Rosie: I rode this horse this morning for a client

Tahaha: was owned by Chapdelaine

Fightin’ Rick: now a jumper

Sam’s Beep Beep: In training to be a hunter. I think Jenarby has his full brother, Beep and Go

I added Tadina a while back and he is not on the list.

Here is the info:

1994, Bay VA bred gelding. Raced at Charlestown, donated to Stoneleigh Burnham in 2006, and according to SB, is at a good home somewhere.

Lillie Darwin

Another one to add:

Lillie Darwin, 1978 Chesnut mare, By Fara be Quick, out of Darwin Miss by Misty Fight . She was bred in PA by Lillian Chance (I think - need to double check).

I know she raced for 3 years, winning once at Keystone in PA at 3 and getting a few other places and shows. I got her when she was 6 and used her for hunters, combined training, trail riding, dressage, and pleasure and combined driving. She also had 3 foals, of which I still have 1, a full TB, Mist in Flight - unraced.

She was a neat mare and I owned her for 20 years, though she was on lease teaching and being loved by another person her last 3 years.

J.Way-

Wow! Good to hear! I loved that mare, she was another favorite, although she always wanted to be a pampered girly!! I will tell Mary Anne about Jolly, she’ll be happy to hear!

Another one to add to the list (newly acquired)-

Newshoesformybaby- '05 gelding by Winning Bid, out of Penny Loafer

Two more claimers safe in new jobs

Three Steps Ahead, now learning to be a hunter-jumper in NY

Emperor Tigere, now foxhunting in Kentucky

Here are a few more:

Currently owned by me:

Blue Shadow (GB) - 1995 gr/ro horse, (Pips Pride-Lingdale Lass), raced in England, US to 1998, broke down at Del Mar, owned, loved, retired, since 1999 and will stay with me for the rest of his life…

ID’s Girl (1996) ch. mare (Caller ID - Numerical), raced twice unsuccessfully in KY, trainer Ange Brian, purchased by us from Applebite Farms Oct 2006, currently a broodmare with 07 filly…

Quadrada (1984) b. mare (Quadratic-Avoid), stks winner in CA, once ran second to Bayakoa! Trainer Jacque Fullton. Purchased by us in 2002 from the owner that raced her, broodmare, has a beautiful 07 filly, but now retired and will stay with me for the rest of her life…

Formerly owned:

Can Money Count (1991) b mare (Native Host - ?), raced unsuccessfully at Del Mar, Los Alamitos; last known owner a breeder in WA

Still looking for:

Bikini Island (1992) Dk b/br mare (Pirates Bounty - Lace Bikini), raced in No. California, former broodmare and dam of Iza Reckless, lost…

I’d like to add another two to the list:

Evora, 7 yr old gray Alphabet Soup mare that was on my short list at one of the October mixed sales at OBS (fall 2003 or Jan 04, can’t remember right now). She was purchased by a trainer and ran at Calder, unsuccessfully, and then I quit getting stable mail on her. Love to know where she is. She was a beautiful mare!

Peace Not War, 5 yr old bay Pentelicus mare, also saw at OBS around the same time Evora was sold there. She made a few starts at Calder, ran poorly, and that was it. She was on the small side, but was well put together and looked like she would have made a pretty hunter.

Also, need to make a change. My 19yr old Big Spruce mare, Amongtheroses, was euthanized last month. She broke her leg in the pasture. Would still like to know if anyone knew her when she ran at Tampa Bay Downs back in the late 80s early 90s.

So sorry about your mare Flabreds

Here are mine:

Broke But Happy (1999 Ch M) - happy eventer
Major Lee (2003 B G) - soon to be hunter
