I have to mention my girl Lots of Slots who is now jumping under Sycamores Poison Ivy. She is 18 years old and looks about 10. I know she was born in Conn and raced 7 times. I have a friend who just moved her horse into our barn. He is called Fleet and he was retired from Suffolk Downs last fall. He is a big 7 year old chestnut.
One great THB
Big Alex…he was a race horse and we got him at 7 and turned him into an awesome hunter. His name is Gulliver now.
Danehill stands here in Ireland. Belongs to one of the HUGE studs here - I think one of the Arab Prince’s farms - I see ads for him all the time.
big poppy?
Anyone know him?
Any Michigan racing folks may recognize my guy from the 90’s. He raced quite a bit, and while he didn’t win much he had a few placings.
JC Name: Mr. Sockdolager
Sire: De Jeau (Private Thoughts x Christi Deddle (Rattle Dancer))
Dam: Napeeville (Knight Counter x Knight Mama (Fearless Knight))
He was bred by Kathleen Howe here in Michigan in 1990. Trained by L. Paul Winters and then Shane Spiess. Had several jockeys but David C. Neusch rode him the most. I had contacted Mrs. Howe when I first got him and she kindly sent me baby pictures, and pictures of his mom (who he is a spitting image of), but I would love to speak with anyone that trained/raced him. He’s a very unique horse with a fun personality.
I’ll add 2 -
Allen’s Treasure - 2002 bay g - my current event horse
Tipping The Hat - 2000 bay g - sold him in Dec of 2004
Also know whereabouts of Carrick Burn (early 20’s?)

On of my good friends owns Dr. Brendler who he is retraining into a fox-hunter.
His daughter is a race trainer on the east coast so they know all the big names that I don’t. My neighbor and good friend is also a race trainer but I won’t list all her horses she has.
Years ago I had a friend who had an exracer named Under My Wheels. I always thought that was a funny name. We just called him Big-Head Ted.
Yes Gubbys, I adopted him last month from ReRun. Isn’t he so handsome? He is the sweetest boy too.
Rojo Red
I really wonder if anyone ever knew my boy while he was a racer. The racing records are like reading latin, so I’m not sure where he raced the 13 times he did. He was born in KY and then somehow made his way to TX. I’ve had him since 2003 and he’s going to be with me for the rest of his life! Lucky guy!
I don’t remember all the names of the ones I’ve helped start new lifes after the racetrack, but one mare I REALLY liked who was an amazing jumper, I wonder what happened to her. Alic from Dallas was her name.

He raced at Fair Meadows Tulsa, Remington Park, Arapahoe Park, Albuquerque, Ruidoso Downs, and Sunland Park.
My Ted!! Theodor, who raced under Zen’s Secret Reazen - sire Secret Counsel, by Secretariat; dam Zen It Happened, by Zen.
Raced at Fairmount, foaled 1992.
How do I add this to the list?
I’m in Ontario, so probably these two aren’t known to you folks in the US but I’ll add them anyway:
Regally Bold: 2003 Bay Filly by Bold Executive out of Regal Memory - Just sold her to my trainers.
Island Magic: 1995 Bay Gelding by Leo Castelli out of Highland Lady - Sold in 2003.
