I now own Holy Vows (Holy Bull - Final Vows, Halo).
Trippedoutofadream.
Hip Hop Lover 2003 bay G
I have Tom Archdeacon…raced at Arlington…won the Awad. Love him to pieces.
Does anyone know where Buddha Power is?
I tried to buy him, then his trainer changed his mind and he hasn’t been seen since.
He was last seen at Delaware Park.
Did you try to buy him off the CANTER site? His horse statistics page shows his last race as March, 2011 at Parx Racing, Philadelphia (Laurel being the race before that).
For those of you who have OTTBs now (or had them in the past), I hope you’ll consider adding them to our “Bloodline Brag” on the Retired Racehorse Training Project website. We’re at about 600 entries and I would love to see it at more like 2000+!!

Thanks!
Contrarian Rose
We adopted this wonderful mare from CANTER NE in Nov 2009–couldnt be happier with her:D—if anyone has pictures of her racing or after I would love to see them-she had a Facebook page when she came but somehow I deleted it -had some pictures of her after she was retired from racing
Anyone know Sport D’Hiver? 1992 dk bay TB gelding, by Glitterman, out of Rose D’Hiver.
I’ve posted about him before.
Anyway, if anyone did know him, I have him now, and he is really enjoying his retirement after a very long racing career followed by a few years in a lesson program.
Zydeco Blue - canter NE
Been 7 years now.
Had High Spotlite for 26 years,
Pickwick Prize for 6 years
DYNAQUAKE?
Anyone know anything about Dynaquake? (2005 out of Richter Scale and Miss Daisy (a Dynaformer foal))
I just saved him from slaughter about a month ago… body scale a 2, horrendous feet- complete with BAD White Line Disease- and scrapes all over his back legs… would love some old race pictures or more of his history. I only have info about his 2011 year really from his old trainer.
Dynaquake was listed with CANTER: http://canterusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5123:t11-3211-10-trainer-owned-gelding-qdynaquakeq&catid=54:ne-trainer-listings&Itemid=296
Suffolk is very serious about chasing after trainers/owners who send to slaughter. I’d suggest you get in touch with the CANTER NE to discuss…
Dr Greeley
My first and only OTTB. I do know some about his racing history, but would love to hear from anyone who might have known him on the track.
Dr Greeley, dark bay gelding, 1999, by Mr Greeley.

He IS still listed but that’s because it hasn’t been updated. He was rehabbed by the trainer he is listed on there by (I have briefly spoke with her- once) and raced this year, didn’t want to race, was sold in a claiming race, then appears at auction- bought by a kill buyer. His last known “owner” is listed here:
http://www.pedigreequery.com/dynaquake
But I’ve scoured the web with no luck to find any sort of way to contact that guy. Really all I’d want from him was to fill in the pieces of history missing and get his papers… maybe hopefully a race picture or two.
I own and love “Big Band A Playing”. He is a 2003 gelding by Byars.

Where did you get that name? John Carlesimo hasn’t run anything–at least not under that name–since 2010.
I show no record that he was claimed. Here is the chart from his last race:
Trainer: Robert Manning
Owner: Kathleen Manning
Perhaps he was sold after the race, but he definitely was not “sold in a claiming race.”
I’d really reach out to CANTER NE. The horse last raced at Suffolk and they have a zero tolerance policy on selling to kill buyers or to slaughter. CANTER NE could aid with tracking down info and working with the track.
If you’re looking for win photos, then contact the track photographer at the tracks where he won. You don’t need to track down any previous owners for that.

Interesting. Like I said, I only know what I can find online and reading race records isn’t a strong point in me. I really haven’t ever paid attention to the race world and don’t know much about it, but have always liked TBs and was taught to ride on OTTBs so I guess that’s where my attraction comes from I got John’s name from Pedigree Query only, they were pretty quick to update that site that he had been found in an auction and John’s name was added then too (wasn’t there originally) so I figured he was the last listed owner on records.
I did just send CANTER NE an email And of course some pictures of Quake. Hopefully they can help out- I don’t want to cause a big scene- Quake is safe now and will be rehabbed and stay with me for the remainder of his life but I also don’t want this to happen to other TBs, if whoever dumped him is a regular… There were 2 other OTTBs (mares) in that week with him but they too made it out.
I’m so happy the list is back!
Please add Cat on the Moon (Black Minnaloushe x Meadow Storm), my newest OTTB.

Errrrrr…“they”? Who is “they”? Pedigree Query? You do know that Pedigree Query is 100% USER maintained and anyone can put anything in there that they want? I could go edit your horse and put the Pope as the owner.
I don’t know who would have gone and added John Carlesimo’s name as owner, but unless you have additional information to confirm that, I would take it with a HUGE ENORMOUS grain of salt. Tracking down Robert and Kathleen Manning would likely yield better results if you’d like to find out about the horse.
In fact, it’s a nearly safe bet that John Carlesimo has absolutely NOTHING to do with Dynaquake between his last race at Suffolk and when you picked him up. He had the horse from his second start in May of 2008:
And was claimed from Carlesimo in April of 2009:
The info on PQ is likely considerably dated. I would advise caution with tying Carlesimo’s name to the state the horse was in when you found him…

No, I did not know this. Like I said- I have only ridden TBs, not owned them. Nor have I ever had a reason to research one. I only know about Pedigree Query because it came up via google. Now that I know it is editable by anyone I will have to change that info.

I don’t blame any name found via google with the state I found Dynaquake in… Like I said- not trying to cause a big scene, really only trying to fill in info/history and get papers if possible.
