I stayed home today so I could watch the Freestyle on NBC livestream.
Per the NBC Olympics site for Dressage individual Grand Prix Freestyle -
COVERAGE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
Grrr.
Try refreshing the page. It did that yesterday to me for the SJ, but all was well in the end.
Okay, it finally came up. But I missed Steffen’s entire ride.
I haven’t been able to get any of it to come up, no matter what server I use.

Are you guys getting commentary or any on-screen graphics (like scores)? I’m not getting any of that. Weird.
I am watching through my Uverse connection. I was able to watch almost all of the GPS the other day without problems. I was already logged in with my Uverse credentials, so I guess there was a delay in getting the livestream pipe opened up from NBC to UVerse.
It’s okay now. Watching Allison and Rosevelt.
Is there a trick to making it work? What browsers have been working for people? I have a perpetual load screen.

I guess there is no commentary. They have always been stingy with the graphics.

There are plenty of leads around here for things to try. If you have done that, keep refreshing.
I missed the beginning of Steffen’s ride, but my NBC livestream through Xfinity has been letting me rewind during the live feed, so I was able to go back to the beginning and see the whole thing. Then I skip forward through the several minutes between rides and am all caught up to real time.

Nope. Tried two different browsers, checked that they are up to date, checked that I have current Flash, etc. Then I downloaded the app for my phone and even though it says Live, it keeps redirecting me to watch replays, which is apparently a whole different app. Now I’m downloading that app too. I’m usually pretty competent with technology…
ETA: App worked for about 5 min then quit on me. Then it worked again. Then it paused to buffer for about 15 sec during Minderhoud’s ride and when it resumed he was saluting. Very confused, as he hadn’t even cantered when it paused… Missed most of his ride.

The music is so bad that if it weren’t for the odd Vanilla Ive rap interlude in Steffen’s music I would have believed that they overdubbed all of the tests so far with Musac bc of copyright issues. It really sounds like the background Musac you hear during a regular test at any random show in Florida. I hope it perks up bc this isn’t going to excite anyone.

Now they are listing Dressage Freestyle under the listings of LIVE!
But when I go to the link, I get the same error message: Not available, blah-blah-blah.
Guess they shut down the pipe during the break and someone forgot to open it back up. What a PIA!
And no feed on the CBC site either. “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties”.
NC rider if I were judging, I would tell them bring interesting music or go home
Okay, now I am really annoyed. I can watch live feeds on NBC Olympics of Badminton, Swimming, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Handball, Canoe/Kayak, Cycling, etc.
But even though they indicate they are streaming the Freestyle, the pipe is shut down.
And the CBC site is still down due to “technical difficulties”.
My problem with registering on NBC is Verizon not recognizing me as a customer! Thanks again, Verizon. This kills me because I could watch the Tour de France in its entirety!!!
It’s also supposed to be on TV via the USA channel starting about now Might be better than nothing.
