That pony lawsuit...OMG you have to see those Heritage Invoices
Grew up on Pony Club and eventing. First thing you learn is how to tack up yourself. My barn is an eventing barn, but the IHSA team rides there and some of the team girls are, for lack of a better word, amazing. I am shocked by how little they know given how much “experience” they have.

And let’s face it. Trusting your trainer is one thing. Blind trust is another.
I also have an eventing background  It’s very minimal in terms of competition, but I got the “ethos.” I was at a dressage barn next, and got a lot of input from the trainer, but decisions, purchases, etc. were ultimately up to me. Now boarding at a mixed-used barn: some jumpers, a small balanced seat lesson program, low-level dressage, trail riding. One woman, besides dressage, a little jumping, and trail riding, also foxhunts and drives her Icelandic mare. We all do our own thing

I wish people would read the thread instead of just posting that they were not willing to read the thread and want to bring up a topic that has already been discussed several times.
Yeah and then someone else has to re-post the same information they are asking about, no wonder this thread is so long.

I’ve read through most of the thread, but it’s hard to keep up with nearly 500 posts and 22 pages :frowning:

Why not sure god for making ponies in the first place?
Quite true. I’m sure that will be in the amended complaint.

Who accepts service of process for God? probably Kanye West. Or George Morris.

I haven’t read all the posts, but why is the barn buying the tack and such? shouldn’t the owners do that themselves? and pay the vet and farrier directly? At least that was you know there’s no middle man mark up.
Many of the owners in a BNT barn don’t want to be bothered, or else they buy the wrong size or whatever. Frank Madden’s barn manager used to be in our local tack shop almost daily picking out tack, bits, horse clothing etc., would try stuff on and return anything that didn’t fit or work out, it was time consuming for the barn staff and a mark-up is well earned. However, we frequently had the client’s credit card info on file and charged it directly to the owner. You would be surprised how many owners don’t know the difference between a sheet and a blanket or a running and a standing martingale.

CT Corporation, just like eeeeveryone else.

Don’t assume there’s anything (too) unfair to the client going on in the invoices for equipment. You need to learn the biz or read the posts that explain it.

Many clients don’t know what stuff or size their horse needs. Many don’t know what to buy and would have to spend a lot of time learning about that. They either can’t do that or don’t want to. Maybe they think the prices for equipment plus the expertise in choosing it plus the convenience factor is fair. Maybe these clients are getting ripped off. Maybe they care, maybe they don’t.
Also to add to this statement. Most of these coolers have farm logo’s or other art work on them. It cost a bomb of money to get the artwork set up at a place. So 30 people going out and getting their own stuff is not cost effective. It would turn the 350.00 cooler into a 500.00 cooler. Not to long ago i went through this, as I wanted to get an additional cooler. Local embroiderer wanted a 250.00 set-up charge. I ended up driving hours to the original guy to save that money.

The difference between them is that Kanye West thinks he’s that important. GM actually is.

Does God have any money? Makes no sense to sue someone who can’t pay.

Someone who turned water into wine could surely turn a turnip into blood

In many (most?) states, a docketed judgment gives the judgment holder a lien on real property owned by the defendant against whom the judgment is obtained. I feel like God probably has a lot of real estate, so this could work out.

Couldn’t he just create money? Omnipotence and all that,

He surely could. Being omniscient, however, The Guy, won’t convert rocks to cash before the indictment.
