The Big C! RIP Kim, see pg. 218

Whooo-hooo… often the fear of the unknown is far worse than the actual experience.

CTs are a breeze

Thoughts of warm blueberry muffins, fresh from the oven, dripping with butter for you! (that would be my personal dream  ).

Yeah, that sounds great. I am sure now that I have gotten the taste and smell out of my head, I will once more like them.
I usually make home made ones in Blueberry season.
Tech said test results Tuesday. If that just means they go to the Doc, and then I hear from him. Not sure.
The weather has turned. gorgeous yesterday, this week 70’s!! Things will really start to come out now. Still amazing to me that it is almost the 1st of May and stuff is barely budded.

Now I want a blueberry muffin! One more thing down…

This will sound weird, but I have heard of people naming their tumors. Usually it’s a sinister name like Ivan or Igor, but my stepsister’s husband called his tumor “Bobby”, after a family member who happens to be the biggest jerk ever. It made everyone smile when he’d talk about Bobby getting shrunk by radiation - dual imagery!

Hope that you don’t have to wait too long for the results…waiting sucks, knowledge is power.

It was gorgeous here yesterday, t shirt and shorts, at a BBQ last night, swatting mosquitoes and enjoying great company and fantastic food.

This morning drinking coffee, listening to the rain hit the window, and trying not to notice that the rain has white lumps in it, that are running down the window and making a heap at the bottom:eek:

I guess that the laundry I didn’t get done yesterday can now be dried in the dryer without guilt.

Good going! So glad it was easier than expected.

Well guys it is not good news. the cancer has spread to my liver and several lymph nodes.
All she said was they will refer me to an oncologist for chemo treatment options.
Wow, I did not see that coming. :frowning: Can’t talk now, going to be with the Ex. Maybe I can get one last summer in.
Live life while you can people.

We are with you !
Canter on …
Jingles & AO continue ~

I am so sorry.

See what they tell you next.

They will have some really good protocols for that.

We will be jingling furiously for you.

Jeez, so sorry that it isn’t better news. Know we are all jingling and will be here when you are ready to talk…

Sannois, I am sorry the news was not good. Remember my BIL with colon cancer I posted about earlier in the thread? He also had it in the liver and nodes. He is OK and cancer free and living his life as he did pre-diagnosis. It was a long year of treatments but the outcome was positive. People can and do get through this. Jingling hard and sending hugs (lots of hugs.)

Not really the news you want to hear but still treatable. There are great message boards out there with people going through the same thing you are. They can be so so helpful.

Never underestimate the toughness of horse people. Kick on!!!

Sannois: So sorry to hear your news. I hope you took a little time to check out smartpatients. They would be able to tell you about trials for you. Often you can get access to the latest therapies.

Ahh, crap! Was so hoping for better results and I know you were too.

One day at a time. Don’t reach into the future and grab ahold of stuff that might not happen. Sucks and you are absolutely entitled to wallow in your feelings, but don’t assume the worst.

I’m here for you along with the rest of COTH. Hugs.

Jingling. Don’t assume the worst just because it sounds worse than you were hoping for!

Not the news you wanted, BUT, since they did the imaging, they know right what they are after now. That’s good news in that they can tailor your treatment more effectively. We’re watching out for you!

Chemo, and immune therapies have advanced a lot, and there are a lot of experimental protocols that work miracles.

Sending hugs, and jingles.

Sorry Kim…was hoping for better news, but knowing is half the battle.

We are all here for ya. Always.

Sending many positive thoughts for you and reaching out to hold your hand.
