The Big C! RIP Kim, see pg. 218

I’m the one who sent the honey pops. I bought all they had, but I’ll get out there again this week and if they have been restocked there will be more in the mail. I’m glad you like them and they helped soothe your mouth. They’re my newest obsession, I want to stock up for the winter because I think they will be wonderful if I get a cold and sore throat.

Actually Don Sachey rode on the US eventing team that won the gold medal at the 1974 World Championships at Burghley.

Am I missing something? Did you decide against further treatment? I have been sick and haven’t read anything for several days.

 I’m the same way, cats are terrified of the vacuum so I only use it sparingly but really need to use it often.

I wasn’t previously going to say this but since you have decided not to pursue chemo I’ll say it now. My Mother passed away from colon cancer several years ago, the cancer in her case was very minimal, she had surgery which was successful and then did the same chemo you were doing. Regretfully she got septicemia from the chemo and subsequently died from it, had she opted out from it she would have likely lived much longer. It different for you I know but thought I would share her unfortunate outcome with chemo.

Live and enjoy your life, carry peace in your heart, find comfort where you can.

Told the Cancer center today, just the lady I really like, she was sad but totally understood.
Told the ex. he could not have been kinder. no judgement, no anything, just support.
My mouth is feeling like I could just peel an entire layer of skin off it. AGH,
Oh and it has moved down to the nether regions. My poor damaged body needed this like a hole in the head.
There were 2 boxes by the side door when I cam home this afternoon, After Dinner I will open them.
Seriously you guys have just blown me away with all you kindness. (((Hugs)))))

Cats are fine, I do not plan on going anywhere too soon.
But I may put handsome down, because he is really kind of checking out.
He has been just hanging his butt over the edge of the litter box and peeing. He is almost 17. and
He has struggled all his life with short bus syndrome.
Sevy, she is happy, as old and crippled as she is, she has had some nice time since I got her from the humane society over a year ago. Poor old lady whoever had her was never kind to her.
She always looks at me like she is surprised a person is nice to her.

You know Irish, I have not been home since 1980, I am thinking of taking a final trip to the old home town sometime this summer, maybe we can meet up. It has been so long I will be shocked and not know anything.

Sounds like thrush and a yeast infection caused by the chemo. Nystatin and Fluconzanole with maybe some Clotrimederm cream will help greatly.

Those were good times, we were lucky to ride at CMF. Kim iI can put you in touch with Don and Margo if you want to PM me. Margo is very active on Facebook too. You seem to be at peace with your decision, and you have lots of support here. If you do come back home, please connect with me and we can reminisce about the old days.

When I felt like this during chemo I smoked weed. It helped.
For some reason, the only thing I could eat was Marie Callanders turkey dinners. It worked. Is your doc prescribing Ativan? It was a life saver for me.

And as soon as the rest of my mouth heals I will feel ALMOST normal.
Well as normal as one can be with this disease.
