These folks are really going at it now. Now one who posts vehemently is attending THREE Chrome viewings during the TM Fan Days. I am curious if she is going to be on her ‘best behavior’ on the days, or if she will give them her ‘true feelings’ that they are all (#$!!%!) and greedy? Maybe she will invite TM to the ‘protest demonstration’ they are planning about Chrome’s possible trip to Dubai in the future.

Surely the person who runs TM FB page has warned TM of the crazies?
The people who have bought multiple tickets for the same day, do they expect to be able to just hang out all day? Probably do I suppose. I really don’t understand where these folks get their entitlement from?

I would not be at all surprised if some of the BCH crazies threw their panties at Chrome on the fan days, a la Elvis fans.
I doubt the crazies are as brave in person as they are behind a keyboard, and it sounds like the majority of the vitriolic ones can’t attend.
It’s one thing to be horrible on the internet and something else entirely to behave despicably in front of rational, well adjusted people.

I hope they monitor the BCH page and match up the names who spew vitriol and wild speculations and then watch those same names appear on their own TM site with an entirely different attitude. This lot of phonies should be kicked off the site. What a shame they received multiple tickets when others failed to manage a single one and were disappointed. The real irony is how they lurk on P Martin’s page for info but shriek hatred toward him at every chance.
They are now posting that they should all get together and ‘buy’ Chrome from P Martin. Maybe they should put that proposition to TM when they show up for Fan Day(s).
Someone on the BCH site has asked the woman with tickets for all three days (she is extremely vocal about her never-ending hatred for Martin) if she will be expressing her opinions to TM while there. I can’t wait to see her reply! (The question will likely be deleted.)
Did you see the post on one of the TM Fan Days photo about how Coburns raised him with LOVE and someone replied that he lwas raised by Harris Ranch for his first two years and then she replied how it was still their LOVE or yada yada yada…
It is just so weird to me how these folks think.
Do you ever wonder if there’s something special about a race horse (Barbara, California Chrome) or if there are pockets of crazy EVERYWHERE? Professional athletes and celebrities must have FB fan pages of people who know them and their needs better than they know themselves. I mean, of course a person could say “no, you’re wrong” but once someone gets to a certain level, would that even register?
I can’t imagine developing an interest in, say, figure skating and becoming such an expert that I know what should have been done at every turn. Heck, I’m not as clued in to my OWN horses’ every emotion as these folks are to a horse they only know from TV and the internet. Maybe I should hire them to help me get a deeper relationship with the herd…?
I think the pro athlete fanatics are mostly those who like to spew hatred at opposite team players.
Although you do hear people dissecting game plays as if they were on the field.

Oh, no, no, the BCHers would only declare that ‘Chrome must be mistreated to want to bite people – he must be striking at his handlers out of frustration and them treating him so mean.’ I seem to remember they were unhappy when Chrome was initially coming to TM, then were thrilled about it when others said it was a top notch facility, and now they are again unhappy, and one person is saying that it is a bad operation (breeding laminitic mares, keeping yearlings boxed up, and foals pulled off their dams to be nursed by other mares). They never say if they have experienced it for themselves.
Oh, the ‘three-day Fan Day visitor’ gave a boring answer to a poster who inquired if she would be voicing her concerns about Chrome’s ‘unacceptable’ future racing plans while at TM – she backed down and replied that she would do so if the questioner [personally] wanted her to. Sounds like she’s not prepared to see it through - she says she will be attending in a party of five (TM, be warned). I hope they also relate to TM that they want to band together and raise $$$ to purchase Chrome away from P Martin. ‘Would you and your friends like to step over here, ma’am, and pass through the gate under the exit sign for me? Thank you, and don’t come back. You are officially deleted and banned’.
I wonder when they see how well Chrome is cared for if the BCH visitors will come back full of stories about ‘how bad’ it is and how ‘sad’ Chrome appears there? The promises of many photos from them to post on the BCH website should keep them busy for weeks.
One person there complains that when Chrome was in Newmarket, he was galloping over a stony surface. Really? The ‘red carpet’ was rolled out for the horse. He actually was galloped with rider W Buick on a special length of ‘hallowed ground’ reserved turf rarely used the entire year and very costly to hire for one pass. There are thousands of horses exercised on Newmarket’s seven surfaces daily – and no complaints.
