The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...
I do agree that I wish they would keep Chrome in the USA next year to race. The trip to Dubai takes a LOT out of most horses and I’d like to see him actually run, rather than spend months recovering during prime racing months in the USA.
That’s a myth.
Besides, there is SFA races for older horses in the US in the several months after World Cup night, so there’s no much to do but rest.

Besides besides, he wins more money finishing 4th in the World Cup than he does winning most G1 races in the US.

No brainer to run in the big one in Dubai.

I’d share this link of 67 international European show jumpers traveling home from Spruce Meadows, but there’d be no point. CC would still be too special to fly in one of those horrible boxes.

They are getting so ridiculous I am not even finding much humor in it anymore…

Yeah, but sometimes you just have to laugh they get so ridiculous. When they were going on about Perry not going to the awards banquet I felt like saying something about the Coburns showing up for the opening of an envelop if it would get their picture taken.

Speaking of the Coburns, am I the only one that notices CC looks annoyed in almost every picture when Steve is petting his face? Head up, ears sideways. He seems more interested in the cookies to me.

That’s like the bath pictures. I laugh every time they post one, because all the BCHers are all “oh he loves his baths!!!” and the horse looks like he’s about to kick someone and his tail is switching in annoyance.

True! I have a sinus infection so maybe I am just not finding anything humorous today.
I didn’t watch the video very far. What did the groom do that got them all up in arms?

And I can guarantee you they would all laugh when he farts too…these folks have never seen a live horse.

And the lip chain. I understand that he’s a colt at a busy track, but if he loves his baths so much really he’d stand there a lot easier. My 18 YO daughter used to cross tie and bath our two year old trotting colt (who was in training at a track) and hose him down after a workout without a problem.

The Pennsylvania Derby is on the horizon. Chrome finished 6th last year. Wonder if the BCH folks are going to fuss if there’s no mention of their hero during this year’s race coverage?

Oh, that bad, bad man made poor Chrome behave himself and stay in the video frame. No jerking or shanking or anything that could even faintly be interpreted as rough handling - at least not to anyone who has any sort of basic knowledge of horses. Just made him back up a few steps here and there.

I didn’t see anything odd. Geez he is even either letting him lick his hand or hand feeding him…

In all fairness…I still laugh when my horse farts :uhoh:

Well sometimes it is funny depending on what else they are doing. But just the act not nearly so.

I don’t, but it’s usually because I’m close to the exhaust when it happens.

So I watched the video. CC is way better behaved when asked to stand still for 10 minutes than my 34 year old QH would be." But wah he was treated so poorly." These people are clueless when it comes to horse behavior.

Your daily update.

Not banned so was nosing around over there. I was struck by the headline the fan day was sold out…“just like Elvis”.

Say what? Elvis was paraded around Graceland by his handlers at 10am and 2pm for fans??? Was it fat Elvis or skinny Elvis?

I don’t get the comparison, seems there are far fewer folks posting over there. Just a few going back and forth again and again and again…cyber denizens have become bored and moved on.

Wow these folks can tell so much from a picture! They are simply amazing and should be putting their talents into solving the worlds most pressing problems!

They don’t believe that the horse is “100% emotionally”.

So do you think they would be complaining if say Chrome had stayed racing in the US and retired suddenly to stud while 100% sound. I do and I think they would have said how it was all greed to retire him because he lurves to run and his FANS need to see him run…and his family think of his family
