The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

Funny how the BCHers are screeching about how the groom is handling Chrome in the video (critical of him), and yet someone previously had praised how the same man was so kind and good with him a few weeks ago.

Oh, and one of them posted that 'Art Sherman was a ‘s**t.’ Real class – they haven’t taken THAT one down (although they have removed a lot of others lately).

Art and Alan were very complimentary of the facilities in Newmarket and impressed with it all – Alan remarked how he’d like to have the advantages of it. Chrome’s schedule was to come out between 8 and 10 to walk-jog for a few minutes before the 20 minute walk to the ‘gallops’, then return back to the yard followed by some hand-grazing. Then he was brought out in the afternoon for more hand-grazing. Chrome and the TBs had the day off on Sunday with grass paddock time to relax. Not a bad schedule.

My relatives in the UK said they had just seen a news clip on one of the race stables in Newmarket and mentioned one TB who had been shipped from there to Australia seven times. Now THAT’s a ‘long-distance’ runner!

To quote from the BCH page this morning. "No money was given with the award. Martin never showed up.’ This was for the TOBA Awards.

I see that the ‘usual suspects’ on BCH are posting on Taylor Made in response to the Chrome video and possible trip to Dubai and cooing about their hero with no mention of their bombastic comments and rants on BCH about the matter.

Priscilla A writes on BCH on Aug 11, ‘It’s not the same…I did not see the see the spark in his eyes or his actions like we all saw in the past. I still say he is broken. After going to England, something happened. He has not been the same since.’ The very same day, she posts on TM, ‘OMG, he’s so beautiful.’

Others talk about ‘greedy owners who don’t care about Chrome’, but when they come onto TM’s FB, they are as pure as the snow. Wish TM would get their drift.

Oh dear lord, now they want to mount a PROTEST at Santa Anita.

Every time I think they can’t get any crazier…

Apparently there is no end to their special kind of crazy!

I say let 'em be nutty in public…

That might be quite entertaining.

It only gets better.

Don’t bet on it – they always manage to top themselves.

Bet the girl starting this ‘protest’ doesn’t show up at Los Alamitos. This one who is all riled up with her demonstration plans has asked to visit the barn there in the past with her youngster for Chrome’s birthday and was treated very well by the Shermans (I even think I saw her in the paddock at one of the races along with her toddler). Nut cases! I doubt she’d be welcomed if she participates in this fiasco.

One BCH retired lady from FL says that she wished Chrome would be kidnapped and whisked to a desert island somewhere. (Then again, you will find her over at Martin’s FB page begging as sweet as a granny to please put up more photos of Chrome and wishing she could attend TM’s Fan Day.)
Ooh, boy!

Have you seen Chrome’s photo in GALLOP magazine? The BCHers are admiring how beautiful he is and following all over themselves to find a copy of the magazine – well, the photographer has stated that he took the picture while Chrome was in the UK – yes, at the same time the BCHers were screeching how poorly, sickly, sad he appeared. Ya gotta luv it.

If Sherman’s out of favor, what happened to all of Chrome’s beloved family??? And it seems that the groom at Taylor Made is also out of favor because he disciplined Chrome in front of God and everybody.

Their entire world is falling apart right in front of them. (Guess they chose not to acknowledge the pics of the Martins visiting Chrome with a bag of Mrs. Pastures).

Quote - “Martin won’t be happy until he kills Chrome.”

Do I have any people in my own life who are this full of crazy? I sure hope not.

Good lord, what a bunch of drama queens.

I hope CC makes it to Dubai and wins. His “fans” would be terribly disappointed.

Why do they think they have rights to this horses life and career as if he belongs to them? Where is this coming from?

If he did win the World Cup (which ain’t gonna happen), the BCH loonies would be ecstatic. I can hear them now,“We knew you could do it! You just needed the chance to show everyone that you are still the champion. We love you Art, and Perry. Thank you for taking him to the beautiful country of Dubai (what do you mean Dubai is not a country!?)”

BTW, I watched the Woodbinding Mile yesterday and no one said a single word about MY champion American Pharoah. How could they forget about him so soon :grief:

I just choked on my water.

Oh, they’ll NEVER say “we love you Perry” no matter what.

If anyone gets credit for anything good that happens with this horse, it will be Taylor Made.

You must understand that, with this horse, the minority is owner always responsible for success

I think this might be my current favorite comment:

“We cant just sit back & wait to see what will happen, especially since we all saw exactly what happened the last time Chrome was sent overseas. We are fortunate that he made it back alive.”

There’s just so much ridiculous here, I don’t even know where to begin…And I love how they’re threatening to bring in PETA. If only these whackadoos knew the truth there.

These people are idiots. Makes you wonder why they follow horse racing (or knew to at all) when they know nothing about it. I do agree that I wish they would keep Chrome in the USA next year to race. The trip to Dubai takes a LOT out of most horses and I’d like to see him actually run, rather than spend months recovering during prime racing months in the USA.
