Oh boy. Taylor Made has announced CC Fan Days on Sept. 25th and 26th. Tickets are $10. IMO, that’s too low of a price - it won’t weed out the crazies.
It’s low, but enough to cover some extra security guards…

The Chrome visitors-only ticket (no tour of the facility) is actually free. BCH surprisingly has not announced it on their site – the administrator is probably scrambling to get hers. She and the majority of their ‘fans’ have never seen Chrome in the flesh.
With this event taking place, Chrome 's return to training is being delayed from what it was planned to be.

Warning advice to TM – don’t let the crazies lay their hands on him, Chrome might end up bald from souvenir-hunters vying for locks of his mane and tail.
So glad I got to see him up close and personal several times when he was at Pimlico, you couldn’t pay me to get anywhere near those lunatics. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a one and done for TM. He will go into the witness protection program like Mah Navu’s horse.
:D:lol::lol:
Clicked the links to the tickets for the different days/times out of curiosity - they are already sold out of each one! Hopefully more racing fans and less crazies bought tickets.

They are charging?!? That is unprecedented I believe.
More like f-ing ridiculous. But not very surprising knowing the Taylor boys. I would bet they still have their Confirmation money tucked away somewhere. Cheap as the day is long. They put little to nothing into the game and only some “feel good PR money” for aftercare.
Now this is rich --the BCH fans are oohing and ahhing over the latest picture of Chrome on the cover of GALLOP magazine taken by Ripley. The magazine did an article and spread of his TB art in their previous #11 issue earlier in the year. All the photos (and some are award-winning and displayed in the Jockey Club at Newmarket) show the classic, athletic TB (a bit ribby) – just what the BCH-ers complained about this summer. Now they are declaring Chrome is ‘beautiful’ on the cover and asking how they can receive a copy of the magazine! They are amazing!
I bet none of the BCH-ers will think to give thanks to P Martin (the curse words they call him and his wife are legendary) for the Fan Day. Wonder what their reaction would be if he turned up to introduce himself??? Ha!
I would have waited to have a fan day until after Chrome retires to their facility for stud duty.
Wonder how many tickets they sold per session? I would think they would have to consider porta potties, perhaps some type of transportation (bet there are going to be some little old ladies burdened down with their bags of Mrs. Pastures, of course security, etc., etc. Would imagine that they will be showing him in hand rather then out in pasture. Did they have any idea how this would be received?
I’m still chuckling that there has suddenly been absolutely NO talk about Chrome missing his “fambly” in a while. Guess he found himself a new one.
I foresee this as a massive headache for all concerned.
BCH is asking the TM website if there will be any additional tickets for the event. Sounds like she and most of her ‘fans’ haven’t scored tickets. Lucky for TM!

Someone actually put forth the theory that all of the tickets were snapped up by scalpers.
That’s too rich - scalpers pocketing the big bucks by selling CC Fan Day tix for hundreds…
Apparently Taylor Made has a standard $10 fee for farm tours, regardless of whether there’s a special event ongoing.
Maybe this is all a trick by “Taylor Farms” They knew the crazies would descend upon them and ask insane questions. So, they offered a “fan day” with very limited tickets, that way they can say they offered the day and so sorry we sold out so quickly!! LOL!
Get ready for heads to spin, sounds like a return to Dubai is in the plans!
Yep!!! Already happening! They are in complete tizzy mode! LOL:eek:
So I will admit that I haven’t followed every breath and step California Chrome has taken this year. But you folks, whom I trust not to be bat guano crazy – can you please tell me if Chrome actually suffered a long and painful decline this year? I can’t even remember all the adjectives used to describe the suffering and the torment that this poor animal has been subjected to. <<sarcasm font
I know about the bruised shin/cannon. I know that the whackadoos think that he was a walking skeleton in England. But am I forgetting something monumental? Is there any reason besides sheer anthropomorphic lunacy to think that this horse has been cruelly kept?
No. He ran two good seconds in two good races, then was injured.
But he was injured because they were so MEAN, and shipped Chrome to Dubai and then England, so he was TIRED, and then he shipped home INJURED, and now they’re just being GREEDY!!1!
I don’t understand how two seconds against the best of company equal a ‘decline’ or ‘mistreatment’. But you know, I clearly know less than the crazies. They know exactly what Chrome needs! It’s not that Chrome’s schedule wasn’t a bit erratic, but he certainly got the best of care. I seriously want to boot them up the ass and say “Cigar! Silver Charm! Pleasantly Perfect! Roses in May! Curlin!” to point out that he wasn’t the first and won’t be the last, they all made it there and back just fine, and nobody has accused their teams of mismanagement. Also they clearly don’t know Flintshire, who seems to have been everywhere, and Mubtaahij, who flew from the UAE to Kentucky for the Derby. But they would just say. “Who? Who are those horses? And they are not CALIFORNIA CHROME, so don’t compare them!”
Ugh.
Well, that’s the end of Perry Martin’s brief respite from criticism.
Part of me wishes that someone who can still post on BCH would mention that if he goes to Dubai that a trip to England would be far less taxing on him…
Since the vet said that the bruise was brought on by standing in a stall for so long, wonder if the sojourn in England lessened its severity and/or masked it for a while. Sounds like Chrome and the others had a mile to walk to get to the gallops, then more or less straight on the gallop surface, then a mile walk back. Sure sounds much less taxing and more interesting than being at Los Alamitos or Santa Anita.
Chrome “waving” at his fans in the background during much of the video was good for a chuckle, LOL.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that noticed this. When the interviewer said “he’s doing really well physically, as you can tell” and gestured at - well you know - I about died laughing.
I hope he does well in Dubai. Actually, I hope he performs phenomenally! That would be great.
