The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

Just want to see how soon the latest person who is protesting the website over at BCH gets booted off – their reply to someone who said they heard Chrome is now at Del Mar:

Whoever told you that doesn’t know what they are talking about. He’s at Los Alamitos exercising every day (that’s a fact you CAN confirm) and now cantering, and yes, he is doing well, and if you don’t think he is ‘enthusiastic’, just ask his rider. For a website that claims they state ‘the truth’, there is an awful lot of BS. If you are a fan who comes here for info, you are wasting your time.

I have never understood why people come into a thread they obviously do not care for - just to complain about the fact that the thread is active - even though their posting in it has bumped it up yet again… Good goddess, indeed!

You beat me to it!

The last sentence :lol: shouldn’t she have said "goes there "?

OMG! The poster on BCH castigating them for dubious info has not only stayed on the site without being deleted (for the moment), but they actually have encountered some ‘thumbs up’ and a positive agreement! Are pigs flying overhead? (Or maybe the administrator is sleeping in today…)

A for effort, but BCH deleted all the posts and booted off the latest gal who protested against the administrator when she entered this:

It’s ‘controversial’ and ‘trolling’ to correct someone’s error (that in fairness to readers, BCH should be doing)? BCH, you are correct that you make mistakes. You ‘trust’ stories from ‘informants’, or you would not post them. You displayed statements from an individual who denigrated Chrome’s future racing abilities and labeled him as to a cheap claimer. You defended that pot-stirring opinion by your actions of posting it, or you would not have stood by it by even giving that entity a platform, so I hope you don’t attempt to excuse it by claiming you are ‘only the messenger.’ If those statements were not intended to bring a dramatic response from Chrome supporters, just what was it meant to be? It sounded just like cheap tabloid reporting. Well, I don’t care whether or not you believe me, but Chrome’s vet checks in often, and he likes what he sees. Unlike you, I only report what I witness ‘in person’.

They had been responding to a BCH-er who had incorrectly said Chrome was at Del Mar (when he is training in Los Alamitos):

If YOU are aware that Chrome is training at Los Al, then why didn’t YOU reply to the question yourself? I don’t see the answer as rude. I see that it was enlightening the person when another individual gave out an answer to them that was in error or misunderstanding, and no one corrected it. They ‘deserve’ a truthful answer. You report things such as ‘The Word is out’ about Chrome’s attitude (which is unsubstantiated). Just ‘how’ is he exhibiting his displeasure? Maybe you should ask Raul his opinion. If you haven’t witnessed the training yourself or interacted with the connections in person (or are more than ‘a fan at Los Al’), then you are at the mercy of others’ gossip. At the time it was posted about ‘The Word’, Chrome had been under saddle, much of it walking and jogging, for all of seventeen days – and he’s ‘showing signs he doesn’t want to race’? It is pure delight and a privilege to be close to share in this champion and connections. Where is the ‘dysfunction’? If Chrome races in the future, fine, if he retires to stud, amen. For those who want to continue to wring their hands and wail their indignation in their sackcloth and ashes, so be it, just keep it truthful for them.

Another one bites the dust…

Hey, why don’t we take this thread to 1,000 posts and 50 pages then put it out of it’s misery?

23 posts and a little more then a page to go. Let’s get on it and say buh bye.

What ever happened to the freight train coming after Martin stuff. Have they erased that too?

I’m sure that was the Coburns, and I’m sure they had to sign a nondisclosure thing when they sold their share of CC (just guessing). Without them fanning the flames and the ensuring lack of information coming out, things seem to be dying down.

There was something about Martin being nasty and being vindictive and not letting Victor ride CC, but it seems from Victor’s Facebook page and interviews that he is being very careful about keeping up friendly contact with all involved. In a post BC interview he stated he was looking forward to CC’s comeback this year. Martin himself does not seem to take sides in all of this.

As to why continue this, why not? Adds a little bit of levity to the day, and as training proceeds things might get more interesting. Nobody has to participate if they don’t want to.

I guess the protest demonstration to be organized by Ms Farrands couldn’t be planned in time for the proposed Santa Anita race meeting. Maybe Del Mar???

The latest comments on the Bring Chrome Home page from the Coburn Family (by way of in-laws ie Melton) are still rather crass. It now appears that the attitude flung at the Tonalist connections and Martin connections at the Belmont is exactly what it appeared to be. One has to wonder why they got into thoroughbred racing in the first place. It’s not about the money to JJ its about the money… lol!

Chrome will breeze today at Los Alamitos, and Alan Sherman is on video saying how well he is training. That should ‘put the wind up’ BCH’s finest.

But remember that the Shermans now are considered mere pawns and “yes” men to the underlying villain, Martin, who is still determined to squeeze every last penny out of Chrome while he breaks him down. According to BCH, one can’t believe a word anyone in that camp says.

Looking forward to hearing how the first breeze went. Although the BCH crowd wants him retired to stud, I think that with all of the very talented horses doing just that this year, dollar-wise it is probably better to wait another year when things might not be quite so crowded.

On the Facebook pages, Victor is aggressively angling to be included in the plans for Chrome.

They are a confusing bunch, to say the least.

I heard from an infallible source this AM that Victor should be riding Chrome , schedule permitting.

And Paulick Report is reporting how Art is saying how ‘Chrome is a monster’ – makes BCH’s lengthy statement about her ‘spy’ who said that the Chrome is showing signs he doesn’t want to race just another lie she spews…

Sure hope that Denise M is eating crow when she challenged the poster who said that Chrome was carrying a bit of extra weight after his stay in KY.http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_144692126576411&key=397bc07bc09201be2208744802636e51&libId=igpekv3k01000pep000DAosu2clmj&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.delphiforums.com%2Fn%2Fpfx%2Fforum.aspx%3Fmsg%3D62941.2861%26nav%3Dmsgwin%26webtag%3Dalexbrown&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bloodhorse.com%2Fhorse-racing%2Farticles%2F95837%2Fcalifornia-chrome-back-breezing-at-los-al&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.delphiforums.com%2Falexbrown%2Fmessages%2F62941%2F1&title=California%20Chrome-%20Racing%20and%20Updates%20[alexbrown%2062941.2861]&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bloodhorse.com%2Fhorse-racing%2Farticles%2F95837%2Fcalifornia-chrome-back-breezing-at-los-al

And now BCH’s reply to the videos and report of today’s pleasing breeze: ‘Let’s say that I don’t believe a word I hear from them anymore. The lies have come fast and furious all year.’
(She actually received 11 thumbs up for that statement – they drink her negative Kool-Aid), who could even agree with that misguided conclusion???

She is so delusional, she can’t even see the lies she has been spewing all year. She is ‘not a fan’, she’s obsessed. Even Ms Marin and BCH-er Christie S are showing their enthusiasm with the workout now. Can’t they see the lies from that hopeless website???

I chuckled when I saw that statement from Art about the weight. Looks like things may be going a little ahead of schedule, and it sounds like all is well on the Sherman front.

I listened to two radio interviews with Art, and he didn’t sound like he was covering anything up. I think he finally learned his lesson about talking about the owners, shuttling into Taylor Made liked the accommodations, etc., etc. I have to say that I admire the fact that Martin–and also Taylor Made–are staying loyal to Art, since they could have easily have changed to a more famous trainer this time around. So, I have no idea why they think things are being covered up.

Glad that they are staying loyal to Victor also.

The Melton relative indicates that ‘Martin gets a sick thrill from hurting Chrome.’ Interesting logic because their premise is that Martin is ‘greedy’, so why would you want to ‘hurt’ your horse when that would infringe on his ability to earn you $$$?

The administrator seems only to ‘be in her element’ when she has negative news to report about Chrome or his connections. I wonder if she somehow jimmies the numbers of ‘likes’ on the site? After being stuck on about the same number for a lengthy time, they have grown by hundreds since Chrome arrived in California from TM.

I doubt that…and of course don’t waste much time on that type of scrutiny. Just enjoying the entertainment.

Well, it is possible to buy likes. Essentially you’re handing over money to someone who has thousands of fake profiles and they will then like your page hundreds or thousands of times in conjunction with the amount paid. But I can’t see what would really be gained in this case.

Since Chrome’s encouraging first breeze last Saturday, Ms BCH has been busy with her ‘delete’ button. The story from her ‘spy’ that Chrome is showing signs at Los Alamitos ‘he doesn’t want to race any more’ (when he had been jogging a mere two weeks) has disappeared from her website.

Also, another member has replied about ‘Chrome going to Del Mar for a rest’ with: ‘Seriously? He’s doing great and is happy. Art Sherman was the one who was rested in Del Mar for a few days, you goofballs. Chrome never left Los Al.’ That person has pointed out BCH’s ‘inaccuracies’ before in a non-too-subtle manner – how does he keep from being banned?

In a rather humorous bit responding to others, BCH admits she can not see many posts that are referenced to with questions/answers/comments, saying it is probably because she has banned them from the site. Oh, the sheer dilemma of refusing to believe the truth instead of her own speculative lies. (Then again, Denise and another BCH-er discuss how they themselves have blocked around 100 people who came to post on the site! Wouldn’t having to eliminate that many ‘distasteful’ individuals send up a red flag?)
