I wonder how long it will take them before they “research” Al Maktoum and realize that he was suspended by the FEI for riding a drugged endurance horse, has had many scandals regarding his racing operations in the U.K. and that the UAE was only recently allowed back into the FEI after being suspended for cheating and ignoring horse welfare? It may however, be assuming too much to believe that they are capable of connecting the dots.
I can only imagine the hysteria if/when they figure that one out…

I think it proves that, for them, it never was a ‘fan’ page, only somehow they latched onto Chrome’s story. Their interest could have been sparked by anything, and he was their victim.

Should we tell them about my friend’s call to the Emirates’ loading facility at LAX as Chrome flew out that morning? She was told his flight is a regularly-scheduled cargo shipment on Thursdays, and that ‘Yes, there was other freight on board besides him and his personnel.’ Imagine that! Ms BCH and followers were getting riled up for nothing when a simple 1-800 call could have spared them their agony and uncertainty.

Bring Chrome Home hmm maybe that was just to unload him. The plane Chrome was on was a equine special flight, where he traveled in the main body not cargo. Dubai always transports their own horses via these special equipped aircraft. There is first class air travel for very important horses, expensive but the only way our Chrome should fly! thats at least what we know so far anyway, hopefully that was the case & he didnt travel in a tiny dark tin can

I was banned from that page for showing them pics of how horses travel on those flights and the excellent care they receive… because sharing facts and reality just makes you a “Martin lover”.
Champion horses travel that way all the time - horses far more valuable and with better race records than Chrome.

It’s almost astonishing that anyone who even posts with neutrality is thrown under the bus. How do they latch onto some of those like the poor Kathy Barrett Deeds (did I get that correct?) who repeats over and over again that traveling can cause horses to temporarily lose some weight? She sounds like a broken record because the ‘children’ just can’t fathom it.
One thing that irks me is that they instantly view with distaste anything new before they find out a bit more about it. They hated Chrome’s new rider Dihigi, then acquiesced. They hated Taylor Made, then praised it. They love the sensationalism like gossiping 12 year olds. Their leader is the worst – she immediately declared her hatred for TM again until she was soothed about the travel plans.

Exactly. It is very strange for people who refer to this horse as “our Chrome” who “love” him and who endlessly fret over him, who"care" so much, yet continue to choose to be so ignorant and uninformed about the subject (a race horse) that they apparently lose sleep over.
Righteous indignation loses much of its impact when it is based on ignorance, when those who are complaining refuse to educate themselves.
Honestly, since they are able to spend so much time being outraged (on line) you’d think they’d have the time to study the subject of their obsession, to learn about race horses (just a bit of time, it wouldn’t take much) so they wouldn’t make such utter fools of themselves.
Clueless “fans”, calling a TB farm to tell them that “their horse” (the “fan’s” horse, you know) needs to be shipped well, is beyond the pale,and really creepy IMHO.
