The Daily Dumb

Ohhhh I think you have some true mental illness here, not just Crazy Boarder Drama. I’ve heard versions of this before (for whatever reason, religion often factors bigtime in delusions) and it’s best to avoid physically, as in walk away and keep walking, to avoid anything at all with her. It won’t be easy, but your other options will likely backfire.

I’ve got this kind of crazy too. This person is a total POS on another level. I can’t say anything because I know she’ll do something. She’s the only nut out of the bunch (rest of the boarders). Sure there are others I don’t agree with on some things or can’t relate to, but this individual is bona-fide crazy, petty, and shouldn’t own animals (a few reasons for that).

It’s so frustrating when I hear her say something or when she just goes around being a terrible person. I used to still politely say hello to her but suddenly she started ignoring me. Probably trying to start something petty or has decided to sh*t talk about me (it’s what she does - not limited to me). So now she doesn’t exist to me :woman_shrugging:

I know she has mental issues, but don’t make me a part of it. It’s people like this that can make boarding suck, you interact with people you otherwise wouldn’t give the time of day to/would never meet!

I imagine she’ll be looking for a new address for Dobbin right quick! Fingers crossed for you.

Step away from the psycho lady.

If you put the mark of the beast on your forehead, do you think she’ll try to avoid or exorcise you?

There are some medications that can cause major issues when stopped abruptly. I hope she’s discussed this with her physician.

@BUSY Oh my gosh, no! Not a good decision! I wasn’t on Lexapro long enough to have to wean (I had to stop after a week b/c of some side effects), but I remember that was not one you are supposed to drop cold turkey. Prayers for your friend that she pulls through and/or considers taking her meds again until a better time to try coming off. Bless you for being there for her, too!

Thank you @skydy & @JBCool for your replies. Yes, side effects starting and ending and this is especially the worst time to try to stop such med. I remain worried - not understanding who ? she is listening to if anyone at all !!!

Husband bought a new pocket knife and after using it to open a bale of hay, he tried to close it by pressing the back against his thigh like he did with his previous pocket knife. Instead, he stabbed himself in the leg, blood everywhere.

Argh teach him to cut the baling twine with another piece of baling twine.

Oh he knows and there is a handy small steak knife in our hay area for cutting baling twine.

Oh my God if it weren’t for a real injury that’s hysterical. Bet he won’t do that again!!

If she’s hell bent on it, all you can do is voice your concerns and then support her the best you can. Doesn’t seem like great timing though

I certainly hope not    It actually was pretty funny.

This week I got unfriended on Facebook for calling out someone for being incredibly mean to the barn staff and calling out the same person for doing what they were told not to do politely and privately. 🤷

I guess they didn’t know about the button that allows you to unfollow someone on FB. That’s a way more effective and private way to do the same thing.

Wellll… some people have no impulse control. You hurt their feelers, so whammo, unfriended. As for calling out, was it publicly on social media, at the barn in front of people, or in private? If she is mean to barn staff, that is probably the kind of person she is and who wants to be friends with her anyway?

Bingo on that last part. If I ever see someone being mean to the barn staff, they are immediately written off in my mind. Same goes for waiters/waitresses and low level customer service reps.

100% private. It was just them and I on property. I told the BO about the interaction afterwards with the backstory. I know the BO spoke with them and told them to stop.

I also happen to be barn staff but this person doesn’t pull the bullying with me. I think because the one time they tried I asked them “why would you say that?” My coworker is young and doesn’t know how to do that yet. I and the BO don’t tolerate anyone picking on my coworker.
